12 Years After the Coming Out Post
Blake and I went on to buy an actual house.
I'm still a photographer, but Blake is now an actor making millions.
Haha just kidding. He's still in animation.
Most of my family is now fully accepting. My mom is still really passionate about the LGBT community, and has now gotten her boyfriend into it.
I got bottom surgery a couple years after the wedding, and I'm now fully healed from that.
Me and Blake ended up adopting about 5 years ago. Jordan is eight now, and he's completely comfortable with us, and calls us his dads.
I'm now fully transitioned female to male, and I couldn't be happier. I was living out this dream I've had since I was nine to be a fully transitioned male. And it was awesome.
My brother, Carson, is now married with twins on the way, and he says he's going to make sure that I see them often.
Everyone that has known me since the coming out post or longer is always telling me how proud they are that I've pushed through obstacles and come so far.
And I'm proud of myself, too.
And I'm also proud to say I'm not against myself anymore, either. So I'll close this story of mine off with something deep.
When I was younger, around the age of nine or ten, maybe eleven or twelve, I never thought I'd live to be 16. I was right. She didn't. But he did.
