Jacob's pov

A nudge to my body, a hmph in dissatisfaction, a light hum and a jump onto my lap later, I jolt awake. Opening my eyes, I see a shirtless Troye on top of me with a plate in his hands.

"Breakfast." He chirps and sets the warm plate on my chest.

He spins the fork around to my direction and smiles at me, moving around on my lap and crawling off. A plate of eggs are revealed with two pieces of toast on the side. I look over at him to see him rolling around to sit next to me and getting back under the blanket.

I sit up and move the plate to my lap, nodding to him and digging into the dish.

"Thank you, Troye." I pipe up.

He stays locked in place and wipes his face of any emotion, "Anything for Master."

I furrow my brows at him, "W-wha-?"

"Tro, you know you don't have to call me th-" I'm cut off as the room grows dark and he looks over at me with tears appearing out of nowhere.

"Anything for Master." He whispers, his face turning impossibly blue and purple, making him look almost like a zombie.

"T-troye?"

"Wake up!!"

I jump awake, a frowny faced Troye looking down at me. He's frowning but there's no gruelly stuff anymore. He's okay. I'm okay. It was just a dream.

"Sor-rry, I-" My throat locks up, making it hard for me to continue. I sit up and sigh, running my hands up and down my arms and looking around the room.

"It's okay, you did nothing to be sorry for." He mumbles, walking back around the bed to his spot and getting back on the bed. He slips under the blanket and sits up next to me.

"I didn't know you get nightmares too." He whispers.

I gulp harshly, "I don't."

Averting my eyes to the window I see that it's still dark out. It's probably around five am.

"I don't know where it came from, just kinda happened." I mumble.

He holds his knees to his chest and rests his cheek against them, looking over at me.

"Wanna tell me what it was about?" He asks, "You don't gotta."

"It was about you."

"Me?" He inquires.

I nod, "Mhm."

"What about me?" He questions.

"You were calling me master and your skin looked all weird like a zombie or something. I don't know, it was weird. Was probably nothing." I shrug, sighing again and sinking down the bed onto my back.

"Oh." He utters, laying down next to me and holding out his hand. I assume that's his new instinct.

I look over at him and take his hand, "I don't want you to ever feel obligated to call me that. I'm Jay, we're equal."

"We are?" He turns his head to the side and rests his cheek on the pillow, locking eyes with me.

 I nod, "Yes, of course."

He hums, "Okay, um- thank you."

"Don't, you don't have to. Equal, remember."

"Right." He whispers, eyes trailing down my body and quickly back up.

I brush it off and roll over on my side, "I'm gonna try to go back to sleep, wake me if you need me."

"Goodnight, Jay."

"Goodnight, Tro."
