Troye's pov
A ring of the phone and I nearly jump out of my skin.
"No no no no no." I whisper, petrified of what it could be.
It could be Master. He could have found me. Oh no oh no oh no.
I walk up to the phone cautiously and pick it up.
"Hello?" I whimper out.
"Hey baby." Jay muses, comforting and soothing my every bad thought.
It's just him. It's okay.
"I'll be up in a minute. I really need to talk to you." He murmurs, sounding as if he's running.
"Okay..." I whisper, finding myself going on edge again.
"Just making sure you're alright. I will see you in a minute." He says and then hangs up, leaving me to the empty flat.
I hear him jump up to the balcony in a minute's time and then see him duck and roll through the window. He seems just as on edge as me. Oh no. Is something wrong?
"A-are you okay?" I ask.
He looks up at me, tears in his eyes, and I can't help but doubt him.
He shakes his head, "Honestly, no."
"Something happened." He pauses, "The kids. They were taken."
"Taken?"
"Kidnapped. Torn from our hands like you were from your family." His voice cracks, "My baby, my baby girl is gone."
"Oh no." I utter, "I- I'm so sorry."
"But this isn't it." He raises his voice, "This isn't how it's supposed to happen. I will get her back. I will get everyone back."
"How will you do that?" I ask, "Do you even know who took them?"
He nods, "The Renegades."
"Some group of mass arsonists that are trying to ruin our image and everything we're about." He explains, making me shudder in fear.
"We need to go." He admits, "We aren't safe here."
"W-what?" I question.
"I'm sorry, I know you're just now getting used to this place but I can't lose you too." He wipes away his tears and sniffles, "Not you too."
I step forward and into his arms, wrapping mine around his waist.
"Okay," I whisper, "It's okay."
He rubs my back and shakes in my arms as he cries. I hold him tight and comfort him as well.
"It will be okay."
"I promise."
It has to be.
