I Think I Just Might Lose Hope

When I woke up my hair was a mess and I had a major headache. I took some aspirin and just put my hair in a ponytail. I had decided to make breakfast for myself considering everyone was still sleep. I was almost finished making breakfast when Tae walked in asking for something to eat. Before you knew all most everyone was in the kitchen hungry. After everyone finished eating mouse walked in the kitchen. I was still mad about last night so I tried my best not to lose my cool.

Mouse: Where my food at?

Me: Its food in the refrigerator from last night, you could eat that.

Mouse: What's the matter with you?

Me: nothing, just stay in your lane and I'll stay in mine.

He gave me a confused look and went to go look for something to eat. I got some clothes from my bag and went to take a shower. I put on my clothes then sat on the couch and watched TV. I was in the middle of watching the season finale of teen wolf when some turned off the TV. I looked and seen mouse in front of the TV.

Me: WTFFF

Mouse: we need to talk

Me: about?

Mouse: come back in the room with me.

Me: wateva

We walked back to his room and closed the door.

Mouse: what the hell is wrong with you

Me: I should be asking you the same thing

Mouse: what you talkin about.

Me: I seen everything last night

Mouse: oh

Me: If you supposedly like me, why you all up on her?

Mouse: Its not like that, I mean she look good but I don't like her, sometimes I just gotta do what I gotta do.

Me: why she here anyways?

Mouse: Thats Tae mom cousin daughter, they got evicted so she came here.

Me: oh

Mouse: Don't get me wrong, I like you, its just I don't know if you felt the same

Me: Tbh I do

Mouse: So wassup?

Me: what you mean?

Mouse: You tryna be my girl?

When those words came out his mouth, I felt like I was walking on the clouds.

Me: hell yea

He laughed and walked over to me kissing my neck. I pushed him off me before i flicked him off after turnin off my show. I finished watching TV and looked at the time, It was 3:00 and I figured I would go check on my parents.

Me: I gotta go

Mouse: I got a question first.

Me: what?

Mouse: why you come over here last night, I mean we had just dropped you off and you said you was tired, what happened?

Me: because I felt like it, now I gotta go

Mouse: iight but if we gon be together you can't keep secrets from me

Me: ok I won't, now I really gotta go.

I left with a weird feeling in my stomach. I really honestly did want to tell him everything, but I don't think I was ready yet. When I arrived home, everything returned to normal. Everything was clean. When I walked into the living room, my mom was sitting down watching tv. She hugged me but I didn't hug her back.

Mom: where have you been?

Me: places

She gave me an annoyed look. I noticed a bruise on her forehead but I didn't say anything.

Mom: why are you acting so distant?

Me: I'm not, can I go up to my room please?

Mom: ok but your dad is home, you should let him know your here.

I really was not in the mood but I did it anyway. I walked in his room to find him watching tv

Me: I just came to let you know I'm home.

Dad: where the hell have you been, I hope you know we have been worried.

I seen he was hella angry but I didn't care.

Me: Must have not been that worried considering you were sticking needles in your arm.

He walked close to me, close enough to where I could smell his breath.

Dad: what are you talking about?

Me: Don't play dumb, I seen everything last night,

I could tell he was even angrier, but by the time tears started coming out of my eyes, he had noticed a hickey on my neck.

Dad: what is that?

Me: what is what?

Dad: that on your neck

Before I could say anything, he grabbed me by my neck and was shouting in my ears.

Dad: so out here bein a hoe? Maybe I should quit working and let d low come over here and teach you a lesson on how to be hoe.

When I was able to get free I ran out the house crying. I didn't understand how could the person I trusted most do that? He was the one who promised to protect me. Knowing my mother was one of the weakest and easy manipulated , I wasn't safe anymore. When mouse opened the door, he looked shocked.

Mouse: what tf happened to you?!?

After that, I told him everything including about d low.

Mouse: why ain't you tell me this when I gave you the chance?

Me: I wasn't ready to tell you

Mouse: well one thing for sure is you not staying there, but considering you lied to me, I am a little pissed at you too.

After that being said, I waited until my dad went to work to go get my stuff. My mom begged me to stay but I just ignored her. I put my stuff in mouse room. After this, I really don't Know what to expect anymore. I start school tomorrow and I hope everything turns out ok. I don't even know why I use that word anymore because to me, I Have lost all hope
