Chapter Three
Savannah’s POV: Monday 8th October 2012
“Savannah wake up darling you don’t want to be late on your first day!” I heard a voice say and a hand gently shook my shoulder.
I turned over groaning and saw Lizzy beaming down at me.
God how can she be so cheery this early in the morning.
“Okay what time is it?” I asked in my croaky morning voice.
“Seven, you have to be at school by eight!” she said before leaving.
I hauled myself out of bed and went to shower.
I came out twenty minutes later wrapped in a towel. I went to my wardrobe and picked out some black skinny jeans, a dark purple t-shirt, purple Supras and my favourite black leather jacket. I dried and straightened my hair and got dressed. I did my make-up, grabbed my phone, black leather shoulder school bag and my jacket before making my way downstairs.
“Hello?” I said when I saw a middle aged woman with her dark hair pulled into a tight bun on her head standing in the kitchen.
“Hello you must be Savannah!” she said in a Spanish accent wiping her hands on her apron.
“Yeah hi!” I said walking over to the breakfast bar and putting my bag on a stool.
“I'm Susana the Oliver family cook, cleaner and basically everything else!” she said beaming at me, “Do you like pancakes?”
“Yeah I do and nice to meet you!” I said excepting the plate of pancakes she handed me.
“You too one minute let me get the boys they should be down by now!” she said and walked to the bottom of the stairs, “Boys pancakes, if you're not down in five minutes you’re not getting any!”
She came back in smiling and as if on cue I heard a stampede of footsteps.
“Susana remember I'm your favourite!” Thompson said batting his eyelashes at her. He was wearing a white V-neck, dark blue jeans with a fair bit of his boxers on show, black Supras and he was carrying a black leather shoulder bag and a leather jacket.
Why did he have to look so gorgeous, really it wasn’t fair…
“Whatever Thompson just eat your breakfast!” Susana said rolling her eyes and he laughed. The boys all grabbed plates of pancakes and at about quarter to eight we were all finished.
“Come on let’s go!” Thompson said and the twins followed him into the entrance hall.
“Savannah are you ready to go?” Alex asked me picking up his bag and slinging it over his shoulder.
“Yeah!” I said smiling and I followed him and Robin outside into one of the garages.
He unlocked a black Chevy truck and gestured for me to get in the passenger seat.
We drove to the school in comfortable silence and as we approached I became more and more nervous. I hated starting at a new school. I’d done it so many times and yet I still got the same knot in the pit of my stomach on the first day.
“Do you want us to take you to the office to get your papers?” Robin asked me as we pulled into the school car park and I nodded. The drive had only taken about five minutes so there were still groups of people standing around talking.
We walked through the car park Robin and Alex receiving many hellos and me a lot of intrigued stares.
“Hi I'm Savannah Jameson I'm starting today,” I said to the woman on the front desk.
