Chapter One
Savannah’s POV: Saturday 6th October 2012
I was walking through Los Angeles International Airport pulling my suitcase behind me on the phone to my mum who was back home in Cambridge, England.
“Okay mum this isn’t funny anymore just let me come home!” I sighed down the phone.
“Savannah the only thing that isn’t funny here is the fact you managed to get kicked out of the most prestigious military school in Washington DC in around a month!” my mum fumed I could just imagine the look on her face right now.
“Yeah well whose fault is that?” I snapped.
“Yours Savannah it’s always your fault!” my mum cried.
“No mum it’s your fault for putting me in that shit hole in the first place!” I said in a bored voice, I knew that would get on her nerves.
“Well this is your last chance Savannah, Elizabeth and Samuel have agreed to take you in but they made no promises to keep you!” she said in a warning voice.
“Whatever why are you sending me to them anyway why can’t I just come home?” I asked.
“I've told you because they’ve got ten sons so hopefully they’ll be able to knock some sense into you!” she said and I sighed.
Oh yeah, me and ten guys living under one roof. This is going to be fun…
“Just do me a favour and make a good first impression!” mum pleaded.
“Whatever…” I sighed and hung up the phone.
I looked in the now locked screen of my black iPhone and used it as a mirror. My mascara and eyeliner was slightly smudged around my eyes and my hair was big. I looked dangerous and emotionless, just how I liked it.
I looked around the arrivals area and saw a handsome man who looked to be in his forty’s holding a white card.
Savannah Jameson
Great new life starting now and I've barely made it out the airport.
“You must be Samuel?” I asked the man.
“Yes it’s lovely to meet you Savannah!” he said brightly beaming.
“You too.” I said quietly with a small smile. He didn’t seem that bad.
“Okay ready to go?” he asked.
“Yeah,” I said and he reached for my suitcase.
I readjusted my black leather bag on my shoulder and we walked out of the airport. He lead me to a black Mercedes and he stowed my bags in the boot.
I got into the passenger seat and he started the car.
“So Savannah just so I know do you have any names you like to be called by?” Samuel asked as he drove.
“Savannah, SJ either I'm not bothered,” I said, as long as no one called me Sav-Sav I was fine.
“Okay well in that case please call me Sam, Samuel’s such an old guy name!” he said laughing.
I nodded and smiled.
…
We drove up a long narrow road and came to a massive driveway with large garages. I looked up at the house and gasped. It was a ginormous mansion with large glass windows and a big oak front door.
I climbed out of the car still transfixed by the house and accepted my black bag from Sam.
“Come on in, everyone's dying to meet you!” he said pulling my suitcase up to the house.
