Chapter Nine
Savannah’s POV: Friday 2nd November 2012
I was lying on my bed staring at the ceiling mine and Thompson's kiss replaying through my mind. Just the thought of it made me grin like an idiot. I seriously had no idea it could feel that good to kiss someone.
I heard a girlish laugh/shriek echo up the staircase and through my doorway as I hadn’t closed the door.
I sat up and frowned. Lizzy didn’t laugh like that, neither did Ashley and I was the only girl that lived in the house.
I climbed off of my bed and went downstairs to investigate. I peeked around the kitchen doorway and saw Thompson leaning against the island looking bored and a familiar blonde in a short skirt with her hand on his arm.
That little man whore…
“Savannah?” Robin asked as he walked into the kitchen.
I mentally cursed and walked through the door like nothing had happened.
“Yeah Robin?” I said and walked into the kitchen head held high.
I’d changed since I'd last seen Thompson into dark blue, Hollister, sweatpants shorts and a slightly see-through white long sleeved t-shirt. I saw his eyes travel up and down my body and they twinkled cheekily.
The phrase ‘eye fuck’ had never been better used.
“Me, Alex, the twins and Archie are watching a movie, want to watch with us?” he asked.
“Sure!” I said grinning at him.
He looked surprised, I hadn’t agreed to a movie in a long time. Hell this was the first time I’d been downstairs unless going to or coming back from school in ages!
“Great can you help me get some drinks?” he asked and I nodded.
Still very aware of Hailey and Thompson watching me I made my way over to the cabinet of glasses on the wall and opened it. I reached up and got down four glasses then started to stretch for the last one. Suddenly I felt someone behind me and a hand on my hip. By the tingles that went through me I knew it was Thompson.
“There you go,” he said placing another glass in front of me.
“Thanks,” I said dully and moved away from him, the glasses in hand.
“Thompson!” I heard Hailey whine and could just picture that infuriating pout that made me want to punch her.
“Yeah?” Thompson replied.
“Are you going to answer my question or not?” she asked.
“Uh not,” he replied and leant against the counter next to me his arm brushing mine.
“And why not?” she asked crossly.
“Because I don’t want to have this conversation with you Hailey, you're making a big deal out of nothing!” he replied in the same bored voice as before.
Robin and I finished up the drinks and carried them into the TV room. We dished them out to the boys and sat down. I leant my back against the arm of the sofa and put my long, naturally tanned legs up on Robin’s lap.
…
After the movie I excused myself and went to my room not catching another glimpse of Thompson and Hailey, thank god.
I was flicking through some papers from school when I heard my bedroom door open and close behind me.
I swung round and saw Thompson leaning against the wall smirking.
