A new kid for an RP:
I like having only one character to keep track of during rps—
I say that as if I rp a lot XD I'm actually only part of just the one, one that my friend Nyan and her friend Bug* were cohosting.Keyword: were.
Nyan's a cool dude and Bug is alright if you go about talking to her right but.. These two went together like ketchup and ice cream. And it was all Bug's fault, really. I mean, she's just not cut out to be a leader, you know? She only showed up like once every two weeks and only stayed for enough time to complain in all caps using the wrong 'to/two/too' s and 'there/they're/their's and really confusing and almost nonexistent punctuation. (The only punctuation she used were commas in all the wrong places) You couldn't tell what she was complaining about half of the time. (And I suppose you could argue that her rants were a mess because she was angry, but her rp was the same way.)
But the worst thing about her was that she was infuriatingly childish. Before you ask, no, she wasn't actually a little kid, she's older than me by two(?) years. This one time she threw a fit because Nyan changed the aesthetics on the amino without consulting with her first. So we all spent two hours trying to not lose our minds while she complained about "taking away her job" and "hoarding the power" and "not getting the respect she deserves"
By the second tantrum, everyone just let me handle it because I had the best and strongest temper and because I'm actually pretty good at being genuine. Bring genuine doesn't always work, like this other internet friend(??) (you know who you are. I mean, you don't read my art book, but you would know if you did.) always swears or scoffs at my tendency to be genuine, but over there in that rp group chat filled with people more my age that actually listen to me and want to hear my what I have to say seem to think it's best to just let me handle Bug XD
But, don't get me wrong, Bug makes me really angry, and I'm usually able to keep my cool (aside from mild salt, as seen above) in situations like that, but she just.. She was a special case. I mean, I could handle her being rude and unkind and having a general disregard for my feelings at all to me (I've have practice, haha), but she was doing it to Nyan, and that just wasn't fair. Nyan put so much effort into that Clan and even more so into keeping their friendship stable, and Bug just ruined it every time she showed up. I swear, they're the only pair of friends I've ever seen who get along better when they're not together.
But anyway, Bug left the rp group over as trivial an issue as always—Nyan draw a map of the territories and showed it to her the same time she showed it to all of the rest of us instead of showing her first.
I know. Shocking. Unheard of. I can hear your gasps of shock and disgust from here. I'll give you a moment to let that terribly act sink in.
And Nyan was totally torn up about it. It was really sad to watch, actually. But we talked her through it, and we decided that we would make the best of it. I was promoted to leader alongside Nyan, and I was given the task of creating a new rp Clan leader to replace Bug's character Mothstar.
And thus, Opalstar.
Well that was a dramatic story. I should tell more of those. I bet no one read that though. But it was still nice to type out. I'll never get tired of ranting about Bug.
*Bug isn't actually her internet name, or real name, by the way. I didn't want to give away what she called herself, I guess for privacy purposes.
