Chresanto's P.O.V.
I woke up in Karma's room without her laying next to me. I held my forehead as I felt a headache approach me. I looked on her nightstand to find a note saying 'I left out to get little Perez. Breakfast is in the microwave, call me when you wake up.' I went into the guest bedroom and retrieved my phone. I called Karma.
"Hey babe. You almost here?" I asked.
"Nah, Layla's brothers aren't opening the door. Her mother is just gonna have to have her stay with them." sshe replied, obviously aggrivated.
"Layla? As in Layla Perez?" I asked.
"Yes. Layla Perez." She replied.
"That's Jacob's little sister. He has another brother named Oliver. I know them very well. I'll tell Jacob to open up." I said.
"Oliver. Um, no, I think I'm good. I'll pick up Layla when he's not home."
"Alright Karma. I'll see you when you get here babe."
Something's wrong. She's never this hesitant about things like that. I'll ask her whenshe gets here.
5 minutes later Karma walked through the door. She put her handbag down on the counter.
"Hey Chres, what's up?" She said, trying to figure out my confused look.
"Why'd you get all silent when I mentioned Jacob's brother?" I asked.
"Oh. Um, you see, we have bad history. That's all." Karma said, looking away. "You still hungry? Cause I'm about to make a sandwich."
"Don't try to change the subject Karma. What bad history?"
"Alright. You know that story I told you? Oliver was my ex... Jacob and I used to be friends until I dated Oliver. That's why he doesn't like me now." Karma explained.
She went to the fridge and took out some ingridients to make her sandwich. She wiped her eyes and I went to gve her a hug.
"Im sorry babe. I should've never brought the topic up."
"It's ok. I'll be fine. I'm just hungry."
What did I do?
