Boys will be boys
will say there is something wrong
with the ungovernable
until
girls will be girls
will google themselves
and find "treatments"
little will they know
they are not something to be cured
they are something to be respected
girls will be girls
will wreak havoc
of the likes the world hasn't seen before
because girls are made of
sugar and
spice so high on the Scoville scale
they burn holes through glass ceilings,
and things that are nice when they want to be,
mean when they need to be,
girls will be girls
will own the copyright to their own opinions
Boys will no longer be boys
raised to think they always have the upper hand,
raised to think they posses bodies, people
to which they can't even sympathize
will no longer represent human beings
as numbers
Girls will no longer be girls
conditioned to place mirror checks
above math tests,
ridiculed for hiding too much
or not enough
This world will no longer be a world
where our children's destinies are determined
the minute their anatomies are
