Chapter 25: Besties!

Max's Pov

I ran fast to my apartment, with Angeline tailing behind me. Maybe I was going too fast, but too late, we made it.

"*pant* *pant* Why don't you *pant* *pant* you *pant* *pant* go slow *pant* *pant* next time!" I heard Angeline say, catching her breath.

"You were just slow," I said.

"Slow!? You literally took off without a warning or anything!"

"Quit whining. Let's get inside."

"*groans*."

We walked up the sidesteps to my window. I glanced through it an saw Duke, Autumn, and Gidget.

"Great! They're here!" I exclaimed.

"Who?" Angeline asked.

I motioned for her to look through the window, and she gasped.

"Oh no," she said.

"What?"

"Your girlfriend is here."

"And? Even better."

"You want me to get acquainted with her!?"

"Nope. Friends!"

She looked like she was about to faint.

"Don't worry. It'll be fine."

"I hope you're right." She sighed.

We walked in through the window finally, and they all noticed.

"Hey guy, and girls," I said.

"Hey Max. Who's that?" asked Duke.

"She's the girl that Snowball and I rescued from being put in the dog pound."

"Hi, I'm Angeline." She smiled sheepishly.

"Ooh, another girl to talk to! I'm Autumn." Autumn cheered. "Nice to meet you."

Gidget rolled her eyes.

"Well I'm Gidget, Max's girlfriend," she said.

"I'm Duke, Max's brother," said Duke.

"Nice to meet you, all..." Angeline said, shyly.

"What's wrong? Was it something I said?" asked Autumn.

"No, it's just, I'm not used to being around others. I've kinda been alone really."

"Awe, I'm sorry to hear that," Gidget said. "Well you don't have to worry about that anymore." She cheered.

"Yeah. We can be your friends," Autumn said.

"Really? But you don't know me," Angeline responded.

"And? I love to make other friends!"

"We can get the other girls as well and you can join our group!" said Gidget.

"And we'll all be besties!"

Angeline just stood in shock and confusion.

"Um, okay?" She smiled.

"Hey let's go get the others and we can all go out," said Gidget.

"Yeah! Come on girl!" said Autumn, pulling Angeline with them.

"We'll see you later guys!" Gidget said.

Angeline looked at me a little scared.

I winked at her as she got pulled out.

"Wow. That was fast!" Duke said.

"Yeah for real," I said.

"So where did you meet her?"

"Uh...Central Park, after my break up. Yeah! She was kinda there for me."

"Hmm..." He narrowed his eyes at me.

I looked to my left and right and back. "What?"

Then his eyes widened. "Can you hook me up with her?"

"What!?" I laughed.

"Can you hook me up with her man?"

"*chuckles* Why?"

"I need love too man! And she looks beautiful! And she smells nice!"

I rolled my eyes.

"And she may have an interest in you as well," I said sarcastically.

"Really!?"

He fell for it? I thought.

"Yeah sure. We talked about you and she like what she heard."

"So I have a chance!?"

I shrugged.

Probably not, I thought, and mentally laughed.

He smirked. "See? I got game."

"Whatever."

"Hey I'm bored, let's go hang with the guys!"

I shrugged again. "Why not?"

Chapter 25 is done. Sorry you guys. I've been really busy and took a longer break than I expected since school started for me. You know how that can get in the way. But now I can get back into writing once again. So again, sorry to keep you waiting. This may be a little short I don't know, but there will be better ones. So Angeline, the one Max slept with, is now gonna become friends or "besties" with the girls. So, they won't think of her as the b*tch that slept with Gidget's man.
