Chapter 26: Watch Yourself

Max's Pov

"Are you absolutely sure?" I asked Snowball.

"Of course I'm sure!" he replied. "Why would he do that for no reason!?"

"Cause cats are jerks?"

"Not all of them. And you can be too, you know."

"...So can you Snow!"

"Just saying."

I glared at the white bunny.

"What? Don't look at me like that!" he said.

"Why not!?" I retaliated. "You do it!"

He smirked. "Well it's a principle. I'm the dangerous bunny and you won't do crap."

My left eye was twitching in anger.

"What?"

I lunged at him screaming, and we were tumbling around the room.

"What's going on in here!?" yelled someone.

Snowball and I stopped mid-roll to see Snowflake and Gidget on the windowsill.

I got up and cleared my throat. "We were just...talking."

"Yeah, talking," Snowball agreed, also getting up.

They looked at each other, then back to us.

"...Okay then...well, Gidget and I were thinking if y'all wanna go out on another double date," said Snowflake.

"Why not?" I replied.

"Like we got nothing better to do," Snowball smirked.

"There he goes again..." I muttered.

"I'm sorry what was that? Tryna call me out now?" he asked.

"Oh, it's nothing."

"It better not be!"

"Oh really? What would you do then!?"

"You know what I'd do!"

"Maybe I don't! Why don't you show me!?"

"Is that a challenge!?"

"YES-!"

"Guys!" the girls shouted.

I glanced at them, and said, "Next time Snowball."

"Count on it," he replied.

At the restaurant for humans and pets...

"Is that all you'd like?" asked the waiter.

"Yes, thank you," said Snowflake. The waiter nodded and left.

"So like I was saying, two of them thought she was the real one, but she had a twin, so it made it harder for them. And then they realized that they weren't even looking for her!" said Snowflake.

"*gasps* Girl don't play with me! You for real!?" asked Gidget.

"For real for real!"

They both squealed. What's with that? Why do girls squeal? I never got that.
(Seriously tho, why?)

"Females, am I right, Snowball?" I asked him, looking at him. But I noticed he looked kinda down, and stressed.

"Snowball?"

"Huh? What's up?" he asked.

"What's wrong?"

He sighed. "Nothing."

"Is it cause of the argument of cats and dogs?"

"No, it's something else," he rolled his eyes.

"Well what is it? You can tell me."

He looked around to make sure no one was listening in on us and whispered, "I'm having some trouble with a new enemy."

"What? Since when?" I whispered back.

"...Since last year..."

"What!? And you didn't say anything!?"

"I didn't think I should tell anyone!"

"When has it been going on?"

"When that dog Cisco attacked you. I think he may be working for them."

Now I was utterly confused.

"Who's them?" I asked.

"Another gang of animals called The Brooklyn Cast," Snowball replied. "Many of my members have been seeing other animals around that they don't recognize here. Some of my members, including me, were attacked. The Brooklyn Cast said something about expanding their territory, but I refused. And there may be a gang war. Not sure when."

"Woah. What are we gonna do?"

"Not sure yet. But for now, watch yourself for others that may be watching you. Alright?"

"Gotcha."

"What are you guys whispering about?" we heard the girls say.

"Oh nothing...important. You know, guy stuff," I replied, with a nervous smile.

"Yep. Hehe," responded Snowball, chuckling nervously.

They rolled their eyes and went back to what they were saying.

Snowball whispered to me, "Don't mention this to anyone else. Especially not the people you love, like per say, Gidget."

"Why not?" I whispered back.

"I don't want no one panicking so soon since I don't know what will happen. Also...they might kill anyone we know as well."

I gulped. The thought of that made me shiver.

"Okay. I get it. Just be careful Snow."

"I will. And you, too."

I then realized why is it taking so long for our food to come out.

"Huh. Where's our food girls?"

Gidget shrugged. "Don't know. Must be busy today."

"Its busy almost everyday," Snowflake said.

"...So back to cats and dogs-" Snowball started, but I cut him off.

"Don't start this again, Snowball," I glared at him.

He laughed.

Finally our food came in.

"Here you go. And have a good meal," the waiter said, and left.

"...Wait, who ordered our meals?" asked Snowball.

Oh, I forgot we didn't even order our food, I thought.

"We did cutie, while y'all were talking about "boy stuff"," replied Snowflake.

He scoffed. "I could've ordered my own."

"Keep up with that attitude, and you'll be punished tonight."

Snowball opened his mouth to say something, but just replied with a "hmph" instead.

"Good boy! You'll get your reward when we get home." Snowflake winked.

We all laughed as Snowball tried to sink in his seat.

But little did we know, some one was watching us from a far.

Chapter 26 is done. Sorry y'all it took a very long time to get another chapter up. I've kinda lost connection with Wattpad. Of course of school, and other things I've been doing with family and friends, and goals. So, Snowball told Max about what's been going on under their noses. More trouble will possibly come to Max and his friends. And hopefully Gidget doesn't get involved with it. And someone's been watching them. Wonder who it is though.
