I feel like we been walking for days but I know it's probably only been a day.
"I'm sorry but we need to keep going" he says knowing that I'm tired just as he is
He's honestly right we need to hurry and get out of this place.
I see Kurt look over his shoulder a couple of times "Kurt?" I say wondering what's going on
He grabs my hand and looks at me "okay I think something coming"
"What now?" I say annoyed
"Birds" he says in all seriousness
"Birds?" I can't help but laugh
"Yes birds that will pluck us to death" he tells me and I instantly stop laughing
"That doesn't sound good" I gulp
"Yeah okay run!" He says just as a swarm of black birds comes swooping down barely missing us
We run as fast as we can but still not fast enough because the birds keep snapping at me and Kurt, I already know I'm bleeding. I still keep pushing myself knowing if I stop or turn to look back I'm dead.
As I look ahead of me I see a light it's faint but maybe that means we are almost there the end of the dark forest.
"Ow!" I scream as another bird nips me
I hear Kurt beside me hiss in pain a bird getting him as well, I notice the light is getting bigger so I push everything I have inside me and even drag Kurt a little bit not wanting to die in here.
"Almost there" I say to myself
I leap forward as soon as I get to the edge of the forest taking Kurt with me, we go rolling down the hill and finally come to a stop. We just lay there a moment needing to catch our breaths.
I lean up and look up at the dark forest a few feet away from me, I notice the sun is going down but the dark forest is pitch black.
"You okay?" Kurt asks me as he sits up
"Not really" I hiss in pain and notice a few spots on my arm and legs are bleeding and I see he's bleeding as well
"I guess we are one of the few people to make it out of the dark forest" he laugh humorlessly
I can't help but laugh and shake my head. "I'm going to have rest I don't know how much longer I can walk.
"Yeah I understand hopefully there's a place near by that we can rest for tonight" he says as we stand up
