M A T U R E  C O N T E N T

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. It was two am, and I was awoken by someone pounding on my front door. I decided not to answer it, thinking that whoever it was would eventually go away, but it didn't stop. In fact, it only got louder.

I groaned loudly as I pulled the duvet off of my body and got out of bed. A shiver went down my spine as I stretched, the cold air hitting me instantly. The banging continued as I walked to the door.

"I'm coming!" I yelled, grabbing my baseball bat out of the closet in the hall for security purposes.

I slowly opened the door and stuck my head out. My eyebrows furrowed once I saw who it was. My ex boyfriend.

"Shawn?" I said, confused. We broke up a month ago. Why was he randomly popping up at my house in the middle of the night?

"Hi, Y/n." He said awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. He was shirtless, and wore a pair of gray sweatpants that hung loosely from his hips. Showing his prominent v-line. "Can I come in?"

I opened the door, allowing him to step inside. The two of us were still friends, although we weren't together anymore. It wasn't a nasty break up. We were both really busy, so we decided to go our separate ways.

I closed the door as he stood there, slightly shivering. "It's really cold in here." He chuckled. I nodded.

  "Would you like some coffee?"

"Yes, please. That would be lovely." He followed me to the kitchen and sat down on one of the bar stools near the island. I walked to the coffee maker, putting the coffee to brew before walking back to him.

"So, you wanna tell me why you're at my house at this time of night?" I asked. A smile crept onto his lips.

"You've always been so blunt. I like that about you."

He ran a hand through his messy brown curls, sighing in the process. "I miss you, Y/n."

  I froze. "What?"

"I realized I was thinking of you, and I began to wonder how long you'd been on my mind. Then it occurred to me: since I met you, you've never left." He said quietly, staring at me with his topaz eyes.

"This couldn't wait until tomorrow?" I chuckled, staring back at him.

"I was going to wait, but the thoughts became overbearing. I couldn't sleep because you're all that I think about. Your eyes, your smile, your hair..." He reached up, grabbing a strand of my hair and twisting it around his finger gently. "Breaking up was the worst decision I've ever made. I regret it."

"I miss you too, Shawn, but we're both so busy and-"

He cut me off. "But you know what really drove me to come here? I kept thinking about the way I used to make love to you." My breath hitched in my throat. He stood up and began slowly making his way around the island.

"The way your skin felt so heavenly under my touch. How your toes would curl and your eyes would roll back, as I pounded into your beautiful body. The way you would scream my name until your voice gave out."

He was now standing directly in front of me. Our chests touched as he stared down at me. "It's all I ever think about really." He whispered, running his thumb across my bottom lip.

"Shawn I.." My brain couldn't even gather the right words to say. I was enjoying the feeling of his hands on me. He made me completely numb. In the best way possible.
