walk through the streets
with me please
she saidi'll be with you till death do us apart
i knew this from the start
he saidif this was to be real
why did it not come true?
she said
as tears behind dams of her once
sparkling eyes broke freewe can be free
if we stand behind the willow tree
he begged
as pride dripped away from his once
arrogant demeanorwill we be free?
