Patricia didn’t know what to expect as they entered the lands of the Brethan Kingdom.  She felt scared and nervous.  They passed through a forest path leading deeper to the kingdom and it led to a clearing.

Patricia felt nostalgic about the place that she stopped.  Lord Wilston and Capt Volnacker stopped too.

       “Sister, what’s wrong?”  Marianne asked.

“This place …” Patricia saw flashes of memories flow in her mind but seemed incomprehensible.  She saw a lot of soldiers, their swords pointing in her direction … A tall man holding a sword that is dripping with blood … A blond young man with green eyes … he was on the ground and the tall man raised his sword for the finishing blow … there was a scream but she noticed that it was her voice … then a sudden flash of white light …

       “Patricia!  Patricia!”

       “Patricia, are you okay?”

       “Patricia!”

Patricia didn’t realize that she was clutching her head and everyone was gathered around her.

“Don’t worry.  I’m alright.”  She assured them.

“Sister, what happened to you?”  Marianne said.  “Does your head hurt?  You were clutching your head …”

“I don’t exactly know what happened,” she was breathing deeply.

“… Patricia, did you see it?”  Capt Volnacker asked.  “Did you see what happened?”

“H-how did you know that I saw something, Capt Volnacker?”  Patricia asked.  “And if you know what I saw, tell me what that was.”

“What you saw happened in this clearing seventeen years ago.”  He said.

“What?  Those really happened?  But h-how?”

“Those were probably your memories hidden deep inside your mind.”  Lord Wilston explained.  “Maybe because you have returned to a familiar place, these memories are resurfacing in your mind.”

“You and your brother suddenly disappeared here with that flash of white light.”  Capt Volnacker said.  “… In this very clearing.”

“No wonder I felt nostalgic about this place.”  Patricia said.

“Are you okay now, sister?  Does your head still hurt?”

“No.  Don’t worry.  I’m alright …” Patricia said.

“I think that you’ll recover your memories more when we go to the castle but I think that it will not be safe for us to go there for now …”

“Why, my lord?”  Capt Tristaine asked.

“We need to keep a low profile for now. “he explained.  “… I heard a rumor the Tearan Knights are on the move again.”

Patricia’s heart skipped a beat.  “Lord Wilston, does that mean the he’s with them now?”

       “I think so …”

“Now that he got his proof, he is a full knight.”  Capt Volnacker said.

“But what if the rumors are true … and he comes here with the other knights, how can we fight him if at the same time he is our prince?”  Capt Tristaine asked.
