After he was treated lunch, he became sleepy he decided to rest on a park bench. His plan on leaving town immediately seemed to dissolve that moment he started to feel weariness. It looks like he was still tired because of the travelling he did to reach here.

He rode non-stop, day and night. He just stopped to let the horse drink and didn’t care about his own hunger and thirst. He was determined to get out of the Brethan kingdom so Capt. Tristaine and his soldiers couldn’t catch up to him. He also figured that they might have difficulty acting openly outside Brethanian territory.

       Rendell considered himself safe…for now.

He stared at the wide blue sky. He could hear noises around him: children playing, women gossiping, the sound of carriages, the birds on the trees, and the gush of the wind and…

       “Rendell…”

He suddenly sat upright. He was startled that someone suddenly called his name aloud like that. He suddenly remembered Patricia. She also called his name aloud. He liked the way she said his name.

“Do you still remember me, Rendell?”

He looked at the child in front of him and realized who she was.

“Lady Lenyl…” he answered. Lady Lenyl looked like a 10-year old girl with her silver hair in braids. He face was innocent but only her eyes showed that she isn’t a young child.

“I’m glad you escaped.” She said sounding relieved. “Tristaine is very impulsive. If he only knew who you are, he would’ve almost worshipped you.”

“What do you mean? You kept saying that you know me but I think you’ve got the wrong idea!”

Lady Lenyl chuckled. “Oh, Rendell…I wish I could tell you the whole story but I can’t and it still not yet the time…”

Rendell stared at her. She seemed earnest when she told him that she really wanted but just couldn’t.

“So, where are you going now? Where is your next destination?” she asked him.

“I still need to find the power stone of my sword but I guess I’ll stop by first in Limbistein.” Rendell said. He didn’t know why he was telling her this but something was telling him that he could trust her.

       “In Limbistein, huh?” she said.

       “Yes…”

“I suppose you need to make a report about your mission…”

Rendell nodded. “The king has high expectations and I don’t want to disappoint him.”

“You seem to look up to King Gelatte.” Lady Lenyl observed. “Don’t you know what he does?”

       Rendell said nothing.

The lady sighed. “Let me give you an advice anyway…”

       “Huh? What kind of advice?”

“The object that you are seeking is known and unknown. Look more carefully and you’ll be able to see it…”

       “What are you saying?”

“Listen to the man who shall approach you and discover the truth by yourself…” she said while leaving Rendell puzzled with every word she said. “And…remember the face of the lady you saw because she is an important person in your past…present…and future…”
