(Flashback) As the friends were enjoying their time in Neverland, what neither of them was that on the other side of the island, a small pirate ship had arrived and made it's way to shore. Once there, a wooden plank was set down onto the sand as the lone pirate made his way down the plank and onto the sand. After making sure no one was around, he went into the Neverwoods and looked around until he spotted a small hole in a tree.
Once he made sure it was empty, he reached into his coat and pulled out a rolled up piece of paper and placed it inside the hole as he then used a rock to seal it up. And after making sure no one had seen him, he took off and began to explore the place.
Meanwhile, at the Lost Boys campsite, Piper and Alistair had just finished explaining to everyone about the whole Pan secret.
"Oh my God" Lizzie gasped with a smile "I always wished that Wendy would of stayed with Peter, and it looks like my wish came true."
"Peter Pan grew up so he could be with Wendy" Maddie smiled "How romantic is that?"
"Love makes you do things you never thought you could" Piper said with a small smile "And even though Peter Pan is grown up now, he's still the same Peter of Neverland."
"Speaking of your parents-" Bunny said "Where are they?"
"They're in England helping out my uncles, they wont be back until later this night."
"Any chance we can meet them?" Lizzie asked.
"Sure, I don't see why not" he shrugged.
Just then something caught his eye in the trees, thinking it was a bird at first, he looked closer and saw that it was something else.
"Well hello..." he grinned.
"What is it?" Alistair asked him.
"It's my shadow."
Everyone turned and could see the black figure of of Piper's shadow flying near the trees.
"Are all Pan's shadows like that?" Bunny asked.
"Apparently so" Piper answered "Even my mother has one. I don't know how and why, but our shadows tend to have a mind of their own. And they're usually hard to catch, but not on my watch."
And with that he flew towards his shadow and tried to catch it, but it flew out of the way as he nearly flew into the tree. The shadow then took off as he flew after it.
"He'll be back" Slightly assured "He always goes after his shadow until he grows tired of it."
Piper continued to fly after his shadow throughout the Neverwoods, but with the shadow being fast and slick, it was hard for him to catch it. And when the shadow made a turn, Piper suddenly bumped into a tree as he fell onto the ground in pain. He gave a groan as he got up and rubbed his arm as he looked up to see his shadow hovering above him.
"That hurt you know!" he shouted at it with frustration as the shadow took off.
Piper gave another groan as he turned around and spotted something that caught his eye. Inside the hole of a tree was a rolled up piece of paper, curious, he reached in and pulled it out. He then unrolled it and saw that it was a map of an island, he didn't recognized the island, but he was interested in what the map led to as he flew off.
The next day, while everyone was at school, at the 'Wonder diner', Courtly Jester, daughter of the Joker Card from Wonderland stood behind the counter on her phone since there hasn't been a customer yet. But walking down the sidewalk outside the diner, Jane who was now dressed in modern clothing with her right hand tucked into her leather jacket pocket looked through the window into the diner and saw Courtly. Wondering if she would be able to help, she went inside and up to the counter.
"Can I help you?" Courtly asked while putting her phone away.
"I hope so" Jane said as she used her other hand to pull out a photo of Piper and showed it to her "Have you seen this lad?"
Courtly studied the photo.
"Hm... sorry, no" she replied "Who is he?"
"A friend of mine, he's been missing for over a year now, t'is thee last haven where I'm hoping he'll be."
"Oh I'm sorry" Courtly said sadly "I hope you find him."
"Thanks" Jane sighed.
"Tell you what, you must be exhausted from all this searching, how about I whip you up any food or drink you want? My treat."
"Really?" Jane said a bit surprised.
"Sure" she smiled as she pointed to the menu above her "Just pick anything on the menu."
Jane gave a small smile as she looked over the menu.
"I guess I'll go with thee slice of coconut cream pie" she pointed.
"Coming right up" Courtly smiled.
As Jane waited, Aidan Kenneth, also known as Daring Charming, son of King Charming entered and sat at the counter a few seats away from Jane. As he waited, he turned and spotted Jane, wondering who she was, he decided to start up a conversation.
"Uh, hi" he said to her "Are you, new here?"
"Oh um-" she replied "I'm just here to look for someone."
"Who? Maybe I know him or her."
She showed him the photo just as Courtly brought her her slice of pie.
"Hm... sorry I haven't seen him" he said after studying the photo.
"That's fine" she sighed as she started to eat her pie.
And as she did so, Aidan wondered why she kept her right hand in her pocket, was she hiding something? By the time Jane had finished her pie, she thanked Courtly and was about to head out when she suddenly tripped over a loose shoelace of her boot and tumbled down as Aidan quickly grabbed her arm before she could hit the floor. But at that point she had taken her right hand out from her pocket and used her hook to stab onto a couch seat to prevent her fall.
Aidan and Courtly's eyes widen when they saw her hook, and Jane quickly got up while trying to hide her nervousness. But they just kept staring at her and her hook as she ran out of the diner.
