Chapter 1: Best Friends
I grabbed a hold of the school doors and gave it a tug. There's nothing really excited or fun going on. It's just school, a place we ALL waste our 13 years of our lives at. Just to have a job where none of it is required.
I'm in the 9th grade, a freshman in high school. Preparing for college, and my future of becoming a Yaoi author. But there's no doubt I'm different from others, but my different makes others feel stupid.
I loosen my grip on the metal handles of the school doors.
I really can't help, that people are stupid. If I could, then people will still be stupid, they need more knowledge of our society to fully understand my way of thinking. I let out a deep sigh and adjusted my hold on the door.
"Prue," a familiar voice called.
I released my hold on the school door and turned towards the voice. I tilted my head to the left and squinted my eyes to get a better look at the person.
"Who's there?" I turned on the ball of my feet and calmly walked towards this blurred image.
The closer I got to this person, the more distinct it became. A blue sweater with an x marked on the front. As well as two pure white strings used to adjust the hoodies width.
This person was boy from the style of his hair, it was still girly thought. Curly, coral peach, colored hair that was jaw length. Where I can barely see his eyes, because his hair was covering it. I guess his hair was neatly combed. He had on skinny jeans of the colour navy blue, and some converse. Wait a minute, it can't be...
"Prue!" It ran towards me like a Track star, with a goofy smile.
I turned faster that a tornado and dashed toward the school doors. There's no way I'll let him get near me. I looked back to see if he was still chasing after me. But he was just stood there like a broken doll. And sat on the floor. What's up with him, did he give up. Maybe I was too hard on him, I scoffed and walking toward him. I bet his crying again, that guy sometime.
When I made it to him. He was sitting Indian style (criss, cross, apple sauce) on the gravel. While his hoodie was over his head looking down, drawing a circle on gravel with his index finger. I squatted down to level myself with him and looked at a piece of his hair dangling out of his hoodie.
"Hey!" I discourteous, reaching out my hand and grabbed his bangs. I pulled him to, where I could see his eyes. "What have I told you about ignore my Olivier?" I tighten my grip.
"Why did you stop chasing me? Are you hiding something or, do you hate me?" I glared. He shook his head.
"Then what is it?" I asked, motionless. He raised up his head with a huge, unsettle smile implanted on his face.
Damn it...I fell for it
He grabbed my hand that was holding onto his hair, and the other that was on my knees.
"Olivier, don't you dare!"
But he pulled me in for a hug that was impossible to escape. I tried to push him off but it didn't work, he just held me tighter. Like a field mouse, wrapped around a rattle snake. If I stay like this any longer, I won't be able to read my yaoi. I must flee. I was able to free one of my hands. And used it to touch the gravel, I felt the rough and unevenness of the floor, until. Found it.
"Prue, it been so long since we've seen each other." He loosens his hold on me. "How was your summer, Best or not?"
I smacked the rock on the back of his head. Twice, until he released me.
"I don't like being harassed you know that. And yet you have the nerves to do so, do you want to die?" I scowled, as I stood up and toss the rock aside. He looked up at me, while rubbing his hand on his head.
"Same old Prue I know!" He smiled, and stood up next to me with the goofy smile he had before.
I ignored his statement and head toward the school doors. I probably missed 1st period and 2nd must be starting. I pulled out my schedule from my backpack and scanned it. "Interesting!" I grinned. I grabbed the metal doors of the school. And pushed on it until I remembered. Olivier was still behind me, there was this one question I wanted to ask him.
When I saw him in school. But what better place is it to ask when he's right behind me. I kept the door open with one of my hands and looked at Olivier's direction. Who were only a few spaces away from me, walking with that annoying smile of his?
"Hey Olivier" I acknowledged.
"Yes?!" He smiled.
"Are you still Gay?!" I smirked, wanting to know if he still was or not. I waited for the answer uneasily..
