After an hour and hanging out with my mom and celebrating, trying not to think of the chocolate mess that happened hours before. We talked and laughed as we though of memories that we shared when I was little and trying to sing. I left when she had to start fixing up dinner for her and Josh.
I walk out the door and make my way over to Jacks carefully as there was a bunch of cars going down the streets. When I go back up the street since I gave up and walked down to the cross walk since there was a bunch I was stopped by a hand on my arm. I jump and turned around to come face to face with annoyed looking Evan.
"What do you want, you already dumped chocolate on me and embarrassed me in front of the whole school," I said as I glare at him.
"I'm annoyed and you just happened to cross my path, you really think I would come all the way over here just to beat the crap out of you bitch," he says getting even more annoyed.
"Well sorry I happened to be in your way while your pissed, but that doesn't mean you have to beat me because I was walking down the same sidewalk as you," I said as I pulled my arm away from his light grasp and continued making my way up the street towards Jack where Mark and him were waiting.
"You know he will forget about you sooner or later, both of them," he said loudly making me stop in my tracks.
"Who?" I ask as I turn around, even though I already knew.
"Mark and Jack, sooner or later they forget about the third friend sooner or later," he said showing a slightly darker expression.
"How would you know that?" I ask getting curious.
"You know Felix, the lonely swedish man at school, they used to be friends with them, but they just forgot about him one year and he was devastated," Evan said. I stayed quiet as I stare at the ground.
"I'm not just Jacks friend, I'm his neighbor and there is no way I would let him forget me," I said before I turn around and walk fast to the house.
"You'll regret not listening to me!" Evan yelled after me. I ignored him as I walked up the walk way and knocked on the door. The whole day was going through my brain. So much has happened today. The door opened to reveal a smiling Jack. I fake smiled back but he didn't see past it as he grabbed my arm and dragged me into the living room where Mark was waiting for me so we could play video games. Right now they had Halo 3 in. I plopped myself on the couch and grabbed my controller and joined the game, choosing a cyan blue to represent my favorite red vs blue character, Church. Jack chose a green color and Mark chose a hot pink color. We then fought each other and joked around having fun on one of my favorite maps. Without knowing it got very dark out and my phone went off on the coffee table making me look away from the tv, letting Jack get a kill on me. I pick up my phone and answer it since it was my mom.
"Hello?" I ask the phone.
"Hi sweetie, it's getting late so unless you can stay I suggest you come home," she said.
"Can I ask if I can stay?" I ask her.
"Sure," she said. I pull the phone away from my ear and look over at Jack, but before I could say anything he already answers.
"Yeah you can, Mark want to stay?" he asks Mark. I put the phone against my ear as Mark grabs his phone to call his mom.
"I'll be staying here tonight, love ya mom," I said. She says bye before I hang up on her.
"I can stay!" Mark says as he throws his phone on the ground, mine following suit.
"Yay!" I said loudly. We all laughed before we decided to switch the game, concluding the long game game that we were just playing. Me and Jack had tied while Mark lost since he was mainly just goofing off and killing himself once in a while.
"So what do you guys want to play," Jack asked as we looked through all the games.
"Do you have board games, maybe we could play one of those?" Mark asks.
"Yeah, i have monopoly, parcheesy, and sorry disney version," Jack said as he opened a drawer revealing the games.
"I vote sorry," I said raising my hand in the air.
"Same, sorry Mark if you don't want to your vote is over voted anyways," Jack said as he grabbed the game.
"I call blue!" I called since it had Peter pan, buzz light year, Tarzan and Hercules.
"I'll be green," Jack said picking the one with Winnie the pooh, Bambi, dumbo, and Simba.
"I'll take the yellow team," Mark said as he took out Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, and Jessie. Me and Jack give off a small laugh. We played the game and Mark raged at the end because he lost and threw Jessie and Snow White across the room as they were the ones that weren't in the safe area. Me and Jack burst out laughing as Mark sat there pouting with his arms across his chest and glared at me and Jack laughing. I then yawn, stretching my arms above me making my back crack.
"How are you tired?" Mark asked me as he stared at me. I shrug my shoulders as I grabbed my phone, looking at the time.
"Oh i know why, it's one in the morning Mark," I said as I got up and sat on the couch. Mark and Jack sat on the other couch as they played mario kart. I grabbed the couch pillow and laid down, cuddling with the pillow. I watched the screen until my eyes closed bringing me into dreamland.
~Time Skip~
I sit up quickly as sweat falls down my back and my forehead. I let out a quiet word, or I think it was quiet I could barely hear it in my own ears as my heartbeat was the only think I could hear. Someone puts their hands on my shoulders making me flinch. I turn to see Jack and Mark standing there with worried faces. My breathing slowly became normal as I could finally start to hear them asking if I was alright. I slowly nod my head as I looked down at the ground, trying to shake the nightmare out of my brain. Out of the corner of my eyes I saw Jack look at Mark as he whispered something to him. Mark nodded and left, leaving me with Jack. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me onto his lap and rocked us back and forth as he said comforting words in my ear. The pounding in my chest went to normal, my mind still filling with everything that happened in the dream. An image from my nightmare flew in front of my brain, making it the only thing I see besides the outline of the living room. My heart beat flew again. Jack wrapped his arms around me even tighter than before as he stuffed his head in my neck still saying comforting things that I could barely hear over the sound of his voice saying it was all my fault. I saw a moving outline in my vision before something cold was pushed into my shaking hands. I looked down as the image faded to see a glass of water which I took a gulp of immediately as if I was in the desert without water for sometime. Once the glass was finished I set it down on the coffee table and looked at the ground.
"S-sorry if I w-woke you guys," I said as I played with my fingers.
"It's fine, as long as you feel better," Jack says in my ear as he uses one of his hands to push back some hair that fell in front of my face. I stay quiet as I stare down at my hands, seeing a flash of blood on them before they turned normal.
"What was the dream about?" Jack whispered, still trying to comfort me.
"My so called father, h-he uh, h-he kinda k-killed you two i-in front of me," I said as tears filled my vision as I started shaking again. Jack rocked us a bit and comforted me until I wasn't shaking anymore.
"Well there ain't no way he can find or get us," Jack said as he laid us down.
"Now try to get some sleep, I'm right here and I ain't going anywhere," he said as he pet my hair back. He continued to do that as I slowly fell asleep, feeling comfort in his warm and safe arms.
