Lilys POV

"Lily, do you wanna go to the dance with me?" My best friend/ secret crush gordie asked me as I was putting my binder in my locker. My heart rate sped up as I began to blush. I saw mattie and Hannah nodding in excitement.
"Umm..." I stuttered "yeah!" I smiled, as his face seemed as if 200 pounds just got lifted off his shoulders.
"Great! Ill pick you up at 8 next week!" He exclaimed and jogged off. I'm assuming to chris, he was gordies best friend, and matties boyfriend. Butterflies fluttered throughout my stomach. But I still managed to smile without puking right then and there.

One week later

"Oh my gosh. What if it was all a prank. What if he just wanted to humiliate me in front of the whole school?" I placed around my room. Hannah and mattie rolled their eyes.
"Trust me, Chris told me that he really likes you!" Mattie put her hands on my shoulders so I stopped pacing.
"Yeah and Teddys always complaining that your he talks about" Hannah chimed in. I rolled my eyes
"Fine. I'm convinced"
"Good, because Chris and the boys just got here." Mattie said running down stairs in her blue short dress and her long brown hair curled. Hannah followed in her grey and navy blue knee length dress and her hair straightened with two pieces of hair pinned back.  I finally walked down the stairs in my gold dress (haha sttaaayy gggoollllddd sorry I had to) and my hair in loose beach waves with my bangs pinned back.  Gordie stared at me in awe. 
"You- you look beautiful" he stammered.  I blushed as mattie started laughing into Chris's shoulder so it wouldn't be so loud.
"Thanks" I said shyly.
"Okay let's go!" Hannah yelled as teddy put his arm around her and they ran out.  Chris and mattie followed.  Me and Gordie walked out making small talk all the way to the school.

As we entered the song 'keep on loving you' was playing, mattie and Hannah went out on the dance floor so they could dance with their boyfriends. 
"May I have this dance?" Gordie asked shyly.  I nodded as the butterflies came back.
We danced to the whole song. as the song came to an end Gordie leaned in for a kiss.  The kiss was long and passionate.
"Its about Damn time, LaChance!" I heard Chris yelled so we pulled away to see Chris and mattie standing with their arms around each other smiling
"I told you, Lily"  Mattie smiled
