"You don't have to go, you can stay. I mean, if you want to. You don't have to if you don't want to obviously but- uh, I'll just shut up." Blaine blushed, silently groaning at his inability to have normal human interactions without messing up and rambling.

Kurt laughed, Blaine blushing harder at the amazing sound, "I'll stay for a bit." Kurt smiled, sitting down on the chair next to Blaine, "So, what're you playing?"

"Oh, nothing really. I'm just kind of messing around."

"Cool, I wish I'd learnt how to properly play an instrument." Kurt sighed, looking down at Blaine's arms resting on top of a black acoustic guitar, "It looks so cool. Can you play anything else?"

"Oh yeah, I can play quite a lot. I first learned to play the violin when I was about 9 and I just kind of fell in love with music, y'know?"

"I do know. I prefer the singing aspect of music though." Kurt raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I wasn't so lucky in that department." Blaine laughed awkwardly.

Kurt cleared his throat, glancing around the room and taking in the half stacked up chairs, the music stands and the instruments packed away in their cases, a few laying open from where Blaine must have been playing them.

"How long have you been in Glee club?" Blaine broke Kurt out of his thoughts.

"Oh, since I joined the school. So beginning of my sophomore year."

Nodding, Blaine looked down at the guitar he was holding and began to strum a few chords, just making things up as he went along.

"You're really good at that." Blaine looked up to find Kurt watching him.

Blushing, Blaine laughed quietly, "Thank you."

Kurt stood up and made his way to the piano, taking a seat on the bench. He played a few keys before looking up at Blaine expectantly who hastily leaned the guitar against the chair he was sat on and made to sit next to Kurt.

"I used to play the piano when I was younger. My mom taught me. I- it made me too upset to play it once she was gone, so I've mostly forgotten. But I remember a few things." Kurt smiled in memory, looking down at the keys as his fingers played the few chords and melodies he could remember, "One thing I'll always remember is an acoustic version of Blackbird by the Beatles my mom would always sing to me. It was one of the first things she taught me to play."

Blaine smiled softly, his eyes flickering up to Kurt's face. The boy looked so at home and happy, just lost in thought, remembering his mother. He looked back down to Kurt's fingers which were slowing down as he neared the end of an instrumental version of Blackbird.

Looking back up to hopefully study Kurt's face some more, Blaine was met with two ocean blue eyes staring right back at him.

Kurt's eyes widened and he blushed deeply when he realised Blaine had caught him staring.

"I, uh, I should really be going. My- my dad'll be wondering where I am." Kurt made sure to shoulder his satchel before walking to the door, turning around once he reached it to wave at Blaine, "It was nice talking to you, Blaine, see you tomorrow?"

"Uh, yeah. Tomorrow. Bye, Kurt."

Kurt smiled and then he was gone.
