The maitre d' led the way to a secluded spot facing the ocean. They just sat there, Sinag looking around the magnificent place, while Benjie is looking directly at her, as if he just saw her for the first time.

His eyes automatically scanned her entire body, giving him a warm feeling. He still can't move on from their intimate night together. There's familiarity as his eyes freely roam every inch of her. It abruptly stopped when he looked up to see her watching him coldly.

"So ano? Magtititigan na lang ba tayo dito?"

"Have you decided what to order?"

"I'll just have soup & a salad."

"Aren't you hungry?"

"I am, kaya nga ako umoorder eh."

"Stop being hostile, Sinag. I just want to talk."

"I've resigned from my job." She declared flatly.

He stared at her for a few unnerving moments before he answered.

"I'll help you find another one."

"I can find another one myself. Benjie, you don't need to be the one fixing everything wrong in my life, kaya ko naman eh."

"I know kaya mo, I just want to help in any way I can. Hindi naman siguro masama yon."

"I'll ask for it when I need it."

"Which we both know will never happen." He gave a frustrated sigh.

The waiter arrived and took their orders then left after asking them if they want some wine. Both declined.

"You don't need to break up with Trish now that we're no longer working together." Sinag said in a low, emotionless voice.

"You quit your job for that?"

"Yes and I don't think I can face her as if nothing happened. Unlike you, di ko ugali ang kunin or angkinin ang isang bagay na hindi naman akin."

"Wow! You really know how to hit where it hurts." He replied sadly.

"Benjie, how did I end up in this mess with you again? Tanga ba talaga ako o tanga talaga?" She said resignedly.

"We didn't plan it, it just happened! And it's not working with Trish, for a long time now. Even before we reconnected, may balak na ako to end it."

"Let's cut the crap, Benjie! Binalikan mo sya even after what she did to you then you expect me to believe you na you want to end it? You must really love her for you to be able to forgive her."

"Sinag, I was broken after Pelangi, di ako makatrabaho, ayokong bumangon, ayoko makakita ng tao. Hindi ko matanggap ang ginawa ko sa inyo ng pamilya mo. Yung nanay ko, together with my close friends and Trish.. they helped me through that."

"You have history, a good one, so I really do not see the need for you to break up with her."

"Hindi ko sya mahal, alam nya yon."
