Still hand in hand, they walked out of the church towards the parking area. The sky is changing colors of dusk. Benjie brought her to the passenger side of his car. Once inside..

"Have dinner with me?"

"May good news ako, I got the job!!!" Sinag exclaimed excitedly.

"Wow, congratulations! Sabi ko naman makukuha mo yon eh."

"Kaya ako manlilibre ng dinner."

"No, ako na, ilibre mo ako sa unang pay mo."

"Benjie, lagi na lang ikaw eh."

"Ok lang, I really don't mind."

"Since may work na ako, you don't have to help Sol & Tala sa baon nila. Pero salamat ng marami sa tulong mo, Benjie. But it must stop."

"Hindi naman ako mamumulubi sa pagtulong kina Sol, Sinag. Maliit na bagay lang yon. And I told you, I'm just returning what I took from you, I hope you'll let me."

"Sobra na yung tulong binibigay mo, if you insist, I will be forced to stop receiving favors from you. Lagi mo akong nililibre, among other things."

"I like taking care of you.."

"Ayokong masanay, Benjie. Ayoko maging dependent sa 'yo. Or magka-utang na loob sa 'yo."

"Ako ang may malaking utang, Sinag. I told you, I'm trying to fix what I intentionally did to you and your family. There is no excuse to what I did and yet here you are, talking to me again. Kaya please, let me help kasi ako naman naglagay sa inyo sa sitwasyon na ito."

"Okay, tulungan mo na lang ako, pero yung baon ng mga kapatid ko, ako na. Please, may trabaho na ako. I want to be the one helping them. Okay?"

He saw she's adamant about it so he let it go and quietly drove to this quaint restaurant. Another romantic, quiet restaurant out of the city. Andami namang alam na resto nito! Dito kaya sya nagde-date? Hmm, sheket eh!

She turned off her mind so as not to hear the snickers about her obvious jealous thoughts. Wala naman syang karapatan but she admitted how hard it was to be friends with Trish and often wanting to scream whenever she envisions her & Benjie together.

She also promised herself not to entertain romantic thoughts about Benjie, to just think of him as a friend. Kahit mahirap, she needs to. Kahit nakakalula how he looks at her. Kahit napakagwapo nya & she finds it really hard not to stare & look away. Kahit lumalambot na yung puso nya dahil as the days go by, lalo na nyang nakikilala si Benjie & she truly likes him as a person.

She quickly snapped out of her thoughts when Benjie needed to repeat the question to her.

"Is something bothering you?"

"No, may bigla lang pumasok sa isip ko."

"Kain muna tayo, baka nagugutom ka na."

"Yup, gutom lang 'to."

It's a small hole in the wall, not too crowded. They were ushered inside and she was blown away by the view. They're on a cliff and they can see Manila's city lights down below.

"Hala! Ang ganda!!! Pano mo nadiscover mga ganitong lugar? Oh! Of course, galing na kayo dito ni Trish?" It was too late for her to stop herself.
