They talked some more hanggang ubos na kape nila pero daldalan pa rin sila.

"Sinag, I wish nakakapunta ako sa bahay nyo instead of this. Na we have to sneak out para lang mag-usap."

"Baby steps.."

"Nakakalungkot lang isipin."

Dead air.. then sabay sabay..

"Kamusta pala..?"

"How did the interview..?"

"Sige go, ikaw mauna."

"Yung presentation mo, how was it?"

"Mukhang impressed naman at masaya si lolo. As expected, maraming protests from my aunt. Overall, I think I nailed it." He smiled.

"That's good! Well, ako naman, I went to four interviews. Ok din naman, sa awa ng Diyos. Pero gusto ko talaga yung isa. It's a non-government org focused on the environment. They want me to write a blog plus have a radio show. At ito ang may pinaka malaking offer."

"Eh di go? Ba't parang may downside?"

"Ang layo kasi ng office. Sa Makati."

"Ok lang yan, hatid-sundo kita." He said excitedly.

"School bus lang, Benjie?"

"Eh don din naman office ko, same route."

"Yung bahay ko wala sa ruta mo."

"Eh di ilagay natin sa ruta, mahirap ba yon? Go na yan, Sinag!"

"Sana lang they'll hire me. And, papayag lang ako sabay tayo as long as you don't go out of your way, like cancel an appointment or something, dahil lang kailangan mo akong sunduin or ihatid. Kaya ko naman mag commute."

"Believe me, kailangan ko ng kasama sa kotse para di ako antukin. Nakakagising pag may kausap."

"Ay! Balak ko pa naman matulog sa byahe! Paano?"

"Ok lang, basta kasama ki.. basta may kasama ako. Ayos na yon."

They were both aware of his slip, they just looked at each other. Benjie smirked, Sinag rolled her eyes.

"Uwi na tayo, maaga pa tayo bukas."

There was an awkward silence when Benjie stopped the car near her house. They both suddenly don't know how to say goodbye. Probably because they both don't want the night to end.

"Sige, Benjie, thanks for the coffee." She said without looking at him. Scrambling to open her door.

Benjie pulled the door close again, stopping her from going down.

"Wait, can we say goodbye properly? I hate not being able to get the door for you."

"Naku, ano ka ba? Ok lang." Still not looking at him.

"Can we hug it out? Friends hug each other. Some even kiss each.."

"Don't push it." He chucked then pulled her close.

"Mami-miss kita.." he whispered.

"Susulat ako." She whispered back.
