"Omkara, make it stop. I can't take it anymore", Gauri was wailing, her hands were kept over her ears. "Gauri, you are hallucinating, there is no voice and no child. Trust me", he tried his best to calm her. "No, there is. I can hear it clearly. My head is gonna explode if it doesn't stop", she was shaking with fear. It's been few days since she was experiencing similar delusions. It was getting worse with every day. "Let's go for a drive", he pulled her out of the bed, made her wear his woolen coat and led her to car. Shivaay wanted to accompany them but Omkara stopped him, "I will manage, Shivaay". He took her and drove till they reached a hilly area where the view was breathtaking. "Beautiful!!", she exclaimed. For a moment she forgot everything and was lost in the beauty of nature. She intertwined her fingers in his and smiled. Omkara held her close, comforting her.
"What does he say to you, Gauri? The voice ?", he asked. "I couldn't understand clearly. Usually it sounds like whimper or sniffle. At times he bids me. He sounds scared and in pain", she was confused. "You know Gauri, I can't hear him but I can feel him. I think I know what he wants", he said. "You do?", she asked. "He is sad bcoz you are sad. He wants you to smile and be happy. He wants you to let go off him", Omkara tried to convince her. Gauri always referred to their child as he, as a boy. "It was never your fault. He knows it and understands it", he told her. From boot of his car, he got a big balloon. "Say bye to him. Jaane do usey Gauri, warna wooh wapas kaisey aayega", he pleaded. "No, Omkara. I can't", she wept. "You have to let him go. He wants you to know that where ever he is, he loves you a lot. More than anyone else he loves you and he wants you to be happy", he told her. She caressed the balloon and kissed it gently, "Bye sweet heart. Ma loves you", she looked at Omkara and added, "Pa too loves you a lot. We will miss you sweet heart". Omkara wept at her tearful farewell, he was relieved to know that Gauri understood his pain and loss, as a father. Softly she let the balloon float in air and let it go. As it disappeared from their view, she fell down and broke into tears. She screamed out loud in agony, "Mera bacha!!". Omkara didn't stop her, he wanted her to cry and vent out her pain.
She opened her eyes, it took several minutes to understand the surroundings. It was neither the house where they stayed nor Oberoi mansion. How did I reach here?, she asked herself. She recalled her agonizing ordeal on bidding farewell to her child. She cried for several minutes or maybe hours until she collapsed. She had no idea what happened later. "Good morning Biwi", she turned at his voice, "or shall I say Good afternoon. Tum kitna soti ho, Jaan", he stood at the door. She jumped out of the bed, ran to him and squeezed him tightly. "Omkara, I thought...". "You thought that I left you. Is it so difficult to trust me again?", he was hurt. "No, it's not like that. Destiny was never merciful on me", she said. He lifted her chin, "Now onwards, it will be. I won't leave you, never ever". "Sachi? Not some sweet talk to get me into bed ?", she asked. "I am sorry for all those things...I was a jerk", he was apologizing but paused as she smiled. "I was kidding. I knew it", she smiled. "Kitni badmaash ho tum", he hugged her tightly. "Jokes apart, Gauri. How are you feeling?". "Much better. As if a load lifted off my chest, it was difficult to move on but with your support I managed", she told honestly. "Good. Now freshen up and get dressed. We have a guest downstairs waiting for you", he told her. "Om where are we?", she asked. "You should have explored the house when I asked you last time. It's our home and this is the master bedroom, OUR bedroom", he told her. She was happy to know that they were in Om's house.
She was curious to know the identity of the guest. As soon as she reached hall, she identified him from his silhouette. "Jug!!! Is it really you?", she exclaimed. "No, I am actually at clinic and this is just a projected image of me. Ofcourse it is me , Gauri", he smiled warmly to Gauri. She ran to him and squeezed his hands. "You guys talk. I will get some tea. Gauri, why don't you show Dr. Khan our garden", Omkara excused himself. He wanted Gauri to open up to Jug. It took extra effort form his and Sahil's side to bring Jug to their home. Once Gauri's hallucination started, Omkara understood that she needed help. Through Sahil, he contacted Jug and it was Jug's idea to make her let go of the pain which Omkara executed. Jug wanted Gauri to continue her therapy. Om agreed to it but didn't want to push her directly to clinic. After a friendly meeting with Jug , he was sure Gauri will concur for further sessions.
Few weeks passed, things were gently falling back into its place. On a rainy day, Omkara came back from office a little early. He was cursing the sudden shower of rain. But when he saw Gauri playing in the rain, all his grievances faded away . Her cream color top and printed skirt were clinging to her, leaving very less to imagination. Sensing his presence , she turned to find him gawking at her and ran into the house. He didn't pursue her immediately. He waited in hall for few minutes and slowly trod to his room. Gauri was trying hard to grab towel from top shelf. He slowly went behind her and got it for her. He draped it on her and whispered, " You look breath takingly beautiful". Her heart was racing miles per hour when he nibbled her ear . She stood still with her eyes closed . It's been long since they were intimate. His treacherous body wanted to devour her despite his mind instructing him to be patient. May be she is not ready, he was about to withdraw when she turned and kissed him. Her kiss was more than enough to snap last thread of sanity. Without breaking their kiss, he lifted her off the floor and made her wrap her legs around him. He shoved her to the wall. "I need you, Gauri", he groaned while gasping for breath. "I am yours", she gave herself. She cried as he thrust into her, but soon her sultry moans echoed in their room , further fueling his desire. Eventually when they reached their fulfillment, he gently put her down. Her already wet clothes were dampened by sweat. She adjusted her messed up hairdo and was not meeting his eye. Omkara was enjoying her predicament and the fact that he could still make his bride blush. He removed his clothes and hugged her behind. "Such quickies won't appease me, Jaan. I need a sumptuous meal", he whispered in her ear. She protested as he swept her off her feet, "Omkrara, kya kar rahe ho?". "You should have thought about it before arousing me", he defended. As he placed her on bed and stripped her soggy clothes, she told him, "I want to tell you something". He was bit anxious to know what she wanted to share. "I love you. I love you a lot Omkara", he kissed her passionately after she professed her love for him. Her words , her touch and her feelings drove him to edge. Once they broke their kiss, he said" Ab toh five course meal chahiye mujhe". She laughed at his mischievous words until he captured her swollen lips to devour her.
FEW MONTHS LATER
"Gauri, you don't have to do it", Omkara was concerned. "But I do Omkara. I am not afraid to face it any more", she was confident. "Are you sure? ", he asked again. He was not happy to take her to Oberoi mansion even if it was for mere few hours. His brothers, sister-in-laws, Priku and Dadi visited then frequently making Gauri feel as part of family. "I am. Besides I don't want to miss the godbharai function of Bhavya", she insisted. He nodded. They reached Oberoi mansion together, soon to be mobbed by media . They were the fairy tale couple of paparazzies, Sleeping beauty and her Prince Charming. After few cursory photos, they entered mansion hand in hand. He squeezed her hand as if to tranfer his strength to her. She smiled back assuring him that she is far stronger than he perceive. The function started and everyone was enjoying. Omkara too relaxed and was enjoying with his brothers. Shivaay took his brothers away for having few words with media. Gauri moved to the balcony to catch some fresh air when she heard a familiar voice, "Hello Mrs Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi. So good to see you today. How are you?". "I am fine. Hope you are doing well Mrs Jhanvi Tej Singh Oberoi", she gave back in style. "I will leave if you are not comfortable with my presence", Jhanvi said politely. "Ofcourse not Mrs Oberoi. Infact I was looking forward to meet you here", she smiled confidently.
