Kiara gave a relieved sigh as the camera crew started to pack up, letting her relax for the day.
Slowly she made her way to a smiling Trish who being the best manager and an equally fantastic best friend handed her a robe and a much needed bottle of water.
"Thanks" she gave Trish a little smile, "You're a life saver".
"Anytime", Trish replied with a nod as they got into Kiara's trailer.
Immediately Kiara practically fell onto the comfy sofa, "Now I know how aunt Martha feels after having to work her ass off at the towns bake off " she smiled slightly recalling her aunts past activities.
"Yeah, and I'm sure you miss her alot" Trish quipped in.
Frowning slightly she nodded."Yeah, I guess I do"
"And I'm sure you'll want to visit her pretty soon"
Kiara paused turning her head slightly to get a good look at Trish, "Is there something I need to know about Trish?"
"No, nothing at all" she immediately put in.
"Then why are you acting like there's something going on" Kiara asked with a raised eyebrow.
With a loud sigh Trish plopped right in the chair in front if Kiara.
"Your aunt Martha wants you to come home."
"Why" Kiara looked shocked, "Is something wrong?"
"Well no"Trish shook her head, "She said something about an important charity event that you can't miss"
Kiara shook her head, "Well I can't possibly attend"
"Why not?"
"Well for starters I have a modelling job at LA."
"That was rescheduled a month ago " Trish gave her a pointed look.
"What about that trip we were planning"
"That's not until the next six months"
"The interview with star channel?"
"Kiara that interview was cancelled" she paused, "Why don't you want to head home?"
Sitting straighter Kiara gave a forced smile,"I don't know what you mean"
"I mean you're looking for an excuse to avoid going home". she leaned in closer, "Don't lie to me ki, is there a reason you don't want to go home?"
She shok her head, "Of course not I love home."
"Then you better get your lazy ass self ready cause we're heading to Grey creek "
"I never said I was going"
Trish raised a brow, "Well as your totally awesome best friend I don't give a hoot about whether or not you agree cause I've already made the desicion for you "
"And why the hell do you think I'll just accept that?"
"First of all you and I both know I would drag you to the airport if necessary"
Kiara gave an unladylike grunt.
"Secondly I know you and the only reason why you've refused to go is you're scared Jordan would be there."
At the sound of his name kiara froze, "That's not true" her voice was barely above a whisper.
Trish sighed giving Kiara a little smile, "I understand if you refuse to talk about it but you have to move on"
"I said its not true"Kiara snapped, then almost immediately softened her tone, "I'm sorry"
Trish gave a small nod, "Its okay, after all the shit that guy put you through I'm surprised you haven't snapped my neck"she joked.
Kiara gave a little smile, "Who said I'm not considering it"
They both burst into a fit of laughter.
"Should I be scared?" Trish asked feigning a frightened look.
"Very" Kiara replied with a wink.
With a smile Trish made to stand when Kiara grabbed her hand, "Where are you going?"
"Well I was going to tell aunt Martha that you've changed your mind"
She shook her head, "Am going"
Confused Trish frowned slightly, "But I thought......."
"I changed my mind"
"Really?"Trish didn't look convinced, "you don't have to if you don't want to you know"
Kiara shook her head, "Now that I think about it I think you're right, I should go" she smiled slightly, "At least for aunt Martha".
"What about Jordan?"
Her smile was gone, "I don't care about him"she loosened her grip on Trish hand, "I'm a grown woman and I will not let stupid childhood memories haunt me"
"Well that's great" Trish nodded in approval.
Nodding Kiara sat up straighter a far away look on her face, "Yeah, that is great".
