Nobody But Us.

Chapter 8

Logan's. P.O.V

I tried to pull Areea to the surface yet kick Corbyn off. I couldn't achieve either at the same time.

Corbyn threw a punch at me and my anger took over. I rammed him backwards and stood in the water hearing a commotion coming from the sliding door.

Jonah and Daniel came running outside and diving into the pool.

"AREEA!" Daniel screamed as he dove under to pull her up. Whilst Jonah held Corbyn back.

I stood in the middle of the pool shaking with anger and confusion as Daniel carried a very limp and helpless Areea out of the pool and Jonah pulled Corbyn away from me. Zach and Terry now standing in the doorway, Zach tapping is phone dialling for what I gather an ambulance.

"What happened?" Jonah asked frustratedly as Corbyn vigorusly got out of the pool and ran away around the house.

"Areea! I-Is she alright!" Was all I managed to get out as I watched Daniel put her down next to the pool, she lay unconscious.

"An ambulance will be here soon!" Zach yelled as I clambered out of the water to try help Areea.

"What do we do? She's not breathing!!" I asked scared as her chest stopped rising and falling.

"Mouth to mouth? Logan, you know her best!" Terry yelled.

"But you're her best friend!" I responded confused.

"I'm not doing it! That would be weird!" She squealed.

"Agh fine! How do I do this?!" I ask again flustered.

"Kneel down now!" Jonah instructed as I did so.

"Pinch her nose and hold her chin so her mouth is open! Quick!" He yelled, a scared yet responsible tone to his voice. I did as he told me too.

"Now put your lips on hers and blow into her lungs!" He said as I sat confused.

"What?" I asked.

"Kiss her and breathe!" He yelled as I brought my face to hers. This was not how I imagined our first kiss. I smashed my lips onto hers and tried my hardest to follow Jonah's instructions but I was getting easily distracted by the softness and sweet taste of her lips.

I pull away after a few seconds and am thankful to hear her breathing again, I was relieved... yet disappointed that I wouldn't have an excuse to kiss her again.

"Over here!" I hear Zach yell to two paramedics as they ran through the house towards Areea.

"We need to get her to the ambulance." One of them said.

"I'll carry her. Where is it?" I offered as I picked her up bridal style holding her close to my chest. The paramedics hurriedly lead me to the front of the house and into the ambulance where I set her down on a small bed carefully, I walked out of the crowded ambulance as the paramedics shut the doors. I didn't want to lose Areea.

"Logan, could you come inside?" Jonah asked through the door of the house, a pool of water forming around him as he was still soaking wet.

"Uh sure," I said while walking towards him only now realising I was saturated as well.

I wander inside into the living room, seeming lost as I worry about Areea, all alone in the ambulance. Possibly even fighting for her own life, it pained me to think about it.
