Chapter 12

Logan's P.O.V

As I landed in New Zealand I couldn't help but notice how green the trees and grass were. This place is beautiful! No wonder Areea came from here, this place comes a close second to her beauty.

I got off the plane and walked into the tiny airport.

"Logan!" I heard Terry yell.

"Hey!" I walked over to her.

"Areea is gonna flip out!" Terry laughed as we walked out of the airport and into her car.

"Hopefully, she's as happy to see me as I am to see her!" I said as I put my bags in the back and got in the front with Terry.

"I'm sure she will be!" Terry confirmed.

"Yea, thanks for doing this all though..." I thanked her as she started driving.

"It's fine! And put on some sick beats would ya!" Terry laughed handing me the aux cord.

"Haha, anything you wanna listen too?" I ask while already pulling up 'help me help you'.

"Nah. Just put some on already!" She laughed as I started playing the song, we chatted and yelled along to the music until we arrived.

Areea's P.O.V

"Where do you want me to put the drinks table?" I ask Mum as we set up the garage for her birthday party.

"Just over there! And can you tell dad to get the bonfire ready?" She instructs from across the garage.

"Ok," I say as I struggle to put the table down. "I'll go find him," I inform Mum as she happily places table pieces along the long table that's set up for family and friends.

I walk outside to the small paddock next to the house and find dad in his digger moving logs and branches around. 'Only in New Zealand' I thought, I smiled to myself as I walked up to the digger.

"Dad!" I yell above the noisy digger and the crunch of dead trees.

"Hey what you up to?" He asked after he stopped the digger.

"Helping Mum set up the garage. Now, this is the bonfire, right?" I ask looking at the massive pile of wood that Dad made.

"Mmhmm." He nodded quite proudly as he admired his work.

"Ok, it's really big?" I say as his expression changes to confusion.

"And you'd expect a small one! A small bonfire that I made! Never!" He raddled on.

"Ok ok!" I sigh leaving him to put the digger away.

"Areea!" Lara called for me from the trampoline in the yard.

"Yes?" I answered.

"Logan said in his vlog today that he's got a surprise for you!" She started giggling.

"I'm sure he does!" I laughed as I started tickling her.

"STOP!!!!!" She giggled.

"Ok then! I gotta check if Mum needs any more help, THE GRIND NEVER STOPS!!!" I yelled walking away from her to look in the house for Mum.

"Need any more help?" I ask Mum as I find her in the kitchen.

"Nope! We're all ready!" She told me as I sighed with relief.
