Agnete's POV

I sat next to Jan admiring the nature around us. We had a picnic on a little hill not far away from the castle. I'd always enjoyed spending time outdoors.

I couldn't believe he did all this for me. He was a truly gentleman. I couldn't help but smile at the thought and turn to him. He was already looking at me.

He smiled back and stroked my cheek softly with his thumb. Then he tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear still not taking his eyes off me.

"Agnete?" he asked. I hummed.

He took my both hands in his and sighed deeply. "I know we met not long ago but when I first landed my eyes on you something happened inside me... and all I wanted was get to know you better", he paused and I felt my heart beating faster and faster in every second, "Agnete, I think I'm falling in love with you. And that's why I wanted to ask..."

That was when Anna appeared. She was out of her breath and I couldn't understand a word she was saying. After a while she finally managed to speak; "Sorry for interrupting... but Agnete, your parents are here and they want to speak with you, immediately", she took a glance at us. We haven't move an inch since she came. "Oh... did I really interrupt you two?"

My eyes widened when I realized how close we actually were from each other. I felt my cheeks getting heated when I remembered what he told me right before. Jan noticed my appearance, leaned farther from me and let go off my hands.

"Not at all. We were going to finish anyway", he told to Anna casually and turned back to me, "Right, my dear?" I just simply nodded little bit confused.

"Let's go then. I'll send someone to clean this up", she pointed the picnic and started to walk off of the hill. We followed her.

"What was it you wanted to ask earlier?" I whispered curiously to him.

"I'll do it later. Better not to let them wait for us", he whispered back and kissed my cheek softly.

It didn't take my nervousness away though. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see my parents... let alone wanting Jan to meet them. I just hoped they would behave.

Hans' POV

In the same afternoon I went to the stables to see Sitron. I hadn't had much time to take care of him during those couple of months. I slowly brushed him whispering praises to him. It relaxed me. It was like the stables was the only place I could truly be myself... like at home when I was younger.  I spent all my spare time at stables... before all this mess in Arendelle. Nothing changed when I came here. I thought it would... but there I was, back at the stables, Sitron as my only friend. I could really use some change.

"Hello Hans. Here again I see", someone cut off my thoughts.

I turned around and saw Disa, she was one of the barn girls who help with the royal horses. She was a rather small but really strong girl with short yellowish blond hair. She'd been nice to me, which was one of the reasons I didn't want to mess up with her like I did with the other girls.

"Yeah, I have had a lot of things going on these times", I simply answered and turned away from her back to Sitron. I was a little ashamed because she certainly knew I'd slept with almost every other female staff member in the castle but her. I continued to brush Sitron and tried to ignore her presence.

She came closer to me and stop my hand by putting her own much smaller on the top of it. She was too close for my comfort. I fought against the urge to close my eyes. I didn't want to think about Agnete... not again.

"What's wrong?" she softly asked. I shook my head and tried to pull my hand away from hers. "Hey, something's obviously bothering you", she continued tightening her grip from my hand.

"Disa please, let me go. I'm not good for you or anyone else. I'm evil", I muttered looking down to the floor fighting against tears.

Suddenly she wrapped her arms around me. After a while I hugged her back resting my head on the top of hers.

"If you ever wanna talk you know where to come", she whispered to my ear when we separated. Then she started to walk away.

Just before she disappeared from the corner I yelled after her. She turned to look back at me. "Thank you", I said. She smiled. I tried to smile back but I couldn't.

"Prince Hans, luckily I found you", someone behind us said. I turned around and saw one of the guards.

I gave him a questioning look. I didn't remember I would have had any plans for the evening. "Is there something I've forgotten?" I asked politely.

He shook his head, "Prince Jan of the Northern Kingdom has invited you to have a feast with him, Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Princess' royal adviser Agnete and her parents. He said it's important."

Agnete. I still felt funny every time someone mentioned her. I was so deep in my thoughts I forgot to answer to the guard.

"He hopes to see you there at 6 pm.", the guard continued and left.

I sighed. I didn't want to go but I really should... I decided to take a bath and change my clothes but before that I wanted talk more with Disa. I span on my heels only to notice she wasn't there anymore.

A little earlier;

Agnete's POV

"Mother, father", I hugged both of them when we arrived. Jan stayed couple yards behind me giving me the space. He was so considerate for me.

When I hugged my mother she hissed to my ear, "You know exactly why we're here so drop the acting." I was a bit taken aback. I pulled away and glared at her. But that time I had something I could shoot back with. After hugging my father I smirked both of them.

"If I had known I would've told you... something important has happened to me", I told them proudly. I couldn't see but I bet Jan grinned on the doorway.

"And what's that, may I ask?" my mother fake smiled toying with her pearl necklace - a habit I was very familiar with, she didn't believe me.

"Well, I have a boyfriend", I said happily and my smile widened seeing their expressions, it was hilarious. Jan walked next to me and put his hand protectively behind my back.

"It's pleasure to meet you. I'm Prince Jan from the Northern Kingdom", he said and my parents' faces fell again.

"Oh, your majesty", my mother started to bow when Jan laughed.

"There's no need to bow me, future mother-in-law", he gave my mother a little smile. My mother nearly fainted from surprise.

Suddenly Elsa and Anna arrived next to us. Anna waved at me and I waved back. Elsa greeted my parents who bowed at her while Anna were just chatting with us.

"You really need to tell me what happened before I interrupted you!" she kept insisting.

"Oh, nothing happened... we had just an ordinary date", I said and smiled. Jan nodded at my statement.

"Okay..." Anna looked still suspicious but went off to Elsa.

"Please tell me what you were going to say earlier?" I begged.

"Not yet", he said and gave me a peck on the top of my head. He took my hand on his and we joined the others.

"Oh, I have something to announce to your all", Elsa said when we reached them, "I'll host a feast tonight for your reunion. You can ask anyone to join if you want", she kept telling details about the feast. I didn't really pay attention before Jan leaned to my ear.

"Should I invite Hans?" he asked.

"I don't think it's a good idea", I whispered back.

"Why not? There will be everyone else from the castle but him. Don't you think it would be a little bit cruel not to invite him?" he continued.

I had to admit I pitied Hans... but only a little because of his earlier behavior. Anyway, I had to agree with him and he went straight to the nearest guard, asked him to invite Hans and came back to me.

He gave me a cheeky smile. He was so perfect... all I would ever want. But why I still felt like something was missing?
