Agnete's POV
Right after seeing Hans I knew something was wrong, I could sense it by the look he gave me. I furrowed my brows and stepped away from Anna, Elsa and Geir. I kept the eye contact reaching him and finally broke it bringing my head on his chest for an embrace. I didn't know what was the matter but as Hans' friend I needed to find out.
He hugged my frame tightly and I could feel his heart beating rapidly against his rib cage. I pulled back and gave him a serious look; "What's wrong?" I said it quiet enough so only the two of us heard but it still made Hans wince and look around suspiciously. Suddenly, it was clear that something had happened.
Hans looked like he was going to say something but was interrupted with a cough.
"Agnete, you must be very tired after the long journey. You're lucky your old room is still empty", Elsa placed her hand on my shoulder and nodded me to follow Anna.
I gave Hans one last look before walking past him. I really hoped he'd come over me to talk...

Hans' POV
In the same evening I couldn't sleep and I knew it was because of her. I couldn't help but think how badly I'd screwed up; I'd cheated on Disa multiple times, caused her so much pain by pretending being in love with her while all I'd cared about was someone else.
I sat up on my bed and rubbed my face not able to go to sleep anymore. Sighing I put on some pants before stepping out of the room.

I wandered in the castle's garden deep in thought when I saw something white from the corner of my eye. Turning my head upwards I saw Agnete sitting on the edge of a castle's tower dressed in her white nightgown that wavered in the wind. She was admiring the stars having no idea I was doing that to her. A smirk appeared on my face as I started to walk back to the castle.
Agnete's POV
Closing my eyes I enjoyed the cold breeze of wind on my face. I hanged my legs over the wall of the tower I was sitting on. The night was so beautiful I couldn't get enough watching it so I decided to come up there.
As I fluttered my eyes open I flinched seeing someone sitting next to me, someone who surely wasn't there before.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you", Hans smiled at me before focusing on the stars.
I wondered how he managed to get so close without my notice. "Too bad, you already did", I muttered not taking my eyes off him. What was he doing there in the middle if the night?
"Well, then. Will you accept my apologies, your highness?" he said mocking a bowing gesture with his hand.
I turned away from him somehow displeased. I didn't know what I'd expected but it wasn't Hans joking with me like nothing ever happened. That definitely wasn't the case while something had happened between us since the day we met.
However, Hans was in trouble and I should've tried to find out what it was. Instead I was caught by a moment not wanting to break the pleasant silence between us.
Hans' POV
I was urged to speak to her, to reveal all my secrets, all the things I was feeling, but I couldn't. Completely out of the blue I decided to ask her: "What are you thinking?"
She was intently staring the ground about 30 meters away and her determined face started to scare me. Just as I was going to state my concern she suddenly spoke out: "Have you ever thought of jumping?"
