Once we pulled apart we turned to see Larry and Charley staring at us, both in awe. Immediately I felt my face heat up.

"So um, we should probably head back now," Larry laughed awkwardly as he scratched his neck.

"Probably," I laughed nervously and turned my head to Sal who was smiling under the mask.

Silently we walked back to Addison, the last of the officers leaving the building as we entered. It'll be nice to finally be able to do fun shit again.

"I think I'm gonna head downstairs guys... My mom probably wants me home," Larry looked to the ground quietly as we entered the complex.

Sal and I glanced oddly at each other then back to Larry.

"Oh umm, okay... You sure you don't want to hang out a bit longer," I smiled at him weakly as he shook his head.

"No I.. I think I'm just going to go downstairs and play my Gear boy or something," he shrugged sadly and I knew something was off.

"Oh.. Okay, bye Larry," Sal gave a weak wave as Larry finally looked up to us.

"Bye guys..."

Without a word the two of us watched him walk to the elevator and head down to the basement.

"Is he okay?" Sal looked at me, his eyes laced with worry.

"I... Yeah I think so, maybe just shaken from everything, he is pretty introverted," I shrugged as the two of us began walking to the elevator.

"Hey, want to go to floor five, we could look around a bit more in 504, I'm pretty sure that dude with the beard has left by now," he let out a small chuckle as we walked in and pressed the illuminated 5 in the elevator.

"Well, looks like were already headed there," I laughed as I walked over to the masked boy in the elevator, lacing my hand with his as we walked out.

As quiet as possible, we walked to the end of the hall, the floor boards creaking underneath us every few steps.

The door was exactly how we had left it, the handle still laying on the floor, next to the plate that once was plastered on there reading '504'.

I looked at Sal and mouthed the numbers, '1...2...3,' as we pushed the door open simultaneously.

The horrible odor left the room once again as the door creaked open and I immediately covered my nose and mouth, for the second time that week.

Sal laughed behind the mask and I rolled my eyes as we entered the room, trying our hardest to stay as quiet as possible.

The room looked exactly the same, forest green, ratted carpet lined the floors and the peeling wallpaper still lay in place. The newspaper pile still was in its original spot, the only difference being that the 'man' wasn't sat on top.

Sal and I looked around the room for anything interesting, or for something to explain what we saw.

"There has to be something we're missing, people don't just disappear like that," I looked around the kitchen once more as he examined the bathroom door.

"Hey Liz do you still have that hammer?" I looked back to him and nodded curiously, pointing to the doorway.

I watched as he ran out and grabbed the hammer which was right outside and walked over to the only white door in the room.

"Why don't you just open it smartass," I smirked as I attempted to turn the handle, only for it to be stiff in its original position.

"Oh yeah good idea genius," he laughed sarcastically as I playfully punched him in the arm, awaiting to see what was on the other side.
