Just as soon as I had fallen asleep, I was awoken by Sal jolting up in bed. I quickly sat up, looking at him worriedly.

"Hey hey what's wrong," I adjusted myself to be face to 'face' with him as my eyes cleared in the darkness, the only sound that filled the room were his heavy breaths.

"Nothing... I...," I wrapped my arms around him, anxiety growing in my stomach. Slowly his breathing regained to normal and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Everything okay?" I looked up to him as he wrapped his arms around me as well.

"Yeah.. Just a nightmare," he sighed and rested his chin atop my head.

I looked out the small window in his room to see sunlight streaming in and glanced towards the clock on his bedside table, 11:13 am was displayed in neon green digital numbers.

"You're sure you're okay Sal?" I brushed a stay hair out of his face as he nodded, the two of us pulling apart.

"Yeah... I'm used to them by this point... They haven't really stopped after well..." Silently he trailed off as he looked down to his wrists.

> Trigger warning <

I looked up to him and reached for his shirt sleeve. He didn't even both to pull away as I pulled it up to his forearm.

Lining his wrists were small cuts and scars scattered about, some were more fresh then others.

"Well you probably think I'm some psychopath now huh," I heard him whisper as a small sniff emerged from under his mask.

"Sal... No..." I tackled him in a hug sadly.

"I don't think that at all, you know I don't," I sighed as I tightened my embrace on the boy.

"I know just... Please don't tell anyone... Especially not Larry... I was hoping you wouldn't even find out,"

"I won't... I promise..."

Without a word the two of us pulled apart once again as he lowered his shirt sleeve back down.

"Hey, if you ever need someone I'm here... Whenever you need to do that just come to me... Or call me... Please, I can't have anything happen to you..." I brushed more loose strands of hair out of his face as he nodded.

>Trigger warning end<

"Okay I'll, - " Just as he was about to finish his thought, a tall man with blue hair matching Sal's walked in.

"Hey Sal how's you're-," he stopped as the two of us made eye contact.

"Oh uh... Dad this is Elizabeth, she lives nextdoor," Sal looked at me and then back to his dad nervously as I waved a bit.

"Well, nice to meet you Elizabeth, glad to see Sal and you are getting along," he burst out laughing as I felt my face heat up.

"Nice to meet you too," I laughed nervously as Sal looked at me, I could tell he was smiling as his eyes squinted behind his mask.

"Well I'll leave you two alone, just be careful," he winked as he walked out, still in fits of laughter.

I looked over to see Sal face palm as I buried my face into his covers in embarrassment.

"I'm so sorry about that..." Sal let out a nervous laugh as I came back up to look at him.

"It's all good, I seem to be the master at first impressions huh?"

"Not half bad," he laughed as he turned to his end table where the pony sat.

"Oh shit... Larry is probably wondering where the hell we are," he sighed as he hopped out of bed and onto the plush carpet, picking up the evidence.
