When I woke up I could see the wooden ceiling of my room. Wait, what? My room? Since when? I tried to sit up but felt a sharp pain in my side. When I had managed to sit up I wrapped my arm around my torso trying to ease my pain. The maid Miss Machi, who was Sue's mother, walked in. Whe she saw me sitting up she rushed over and insisted that I laid back down.

"Oh Lady (y/n) please lay back down! You need your rest. Sue's worried sick about you." she said.

"Oh no, I-I'm fine. Tell Sue I'm fine." I replied.

"Oh don't worry I will dear, now please lay down." she pleaded, and so I laid back down.

I stared at the ceiling for a couple minutes before asking...

"How did I get back here, Miss Machi?"

"A demon, of all things, brought you back. He jumped right over the gates with you in his arms, covered in blood, and stood in front of the whole village. Your mother walked out with her sword and questioned him a bit. But when Sue saw you she dropped everything and ran to grab you from his arms. She sure had something to say to him!" she laughs.

"I bet, knowing Sue, she always has something to say" And with that Sue walked in.

"Oh so now I'm the one who won't be quiet" she smirks.

"I guess we've always been talkative." I say jokingly.

"Yeah, I guess we have." she says as she kneels by my side.

"Sue, what happened to the demon that brought me here? Did he leave?" I ask.

"He's leaving now, he stayed to make sure that you woke up."

"Really!?" I say, "Sue help me up!"

"Wait- (y/n) why??" she says panicked at my sudden burst of energy. I try to stand, but when Sue touches my arm something happened.

"Ow! Dammit (y/n) You shocked me!" She says laughing.

"Oh, sorry. But come on we got to catch him before he leaves!"

Sue and I hurried to the gates as fast as my injuries would let us.

"Sesshomaru!"I yelled happily and waved. I could see him not to far off in the distance. He stopped at the gates and waited for me to catch up.

"Sesshomaru!" I said excitedly as I got to the gates. Wait, I can't show him I'm happy, I can't give him the satisfaction of knowing how grateful I am. He looked at me and scanned his eyes up and down my body.

"You shouldn't go outside with so little clothing, it will cause your wounds to heal slower." He says bluntly.

"Wha!?!?" I look down and scream at my barely covered chest. My bandages were wrapped around my chest barely covering my breasts. The kimono I was wearing when I got injured was still tied around my body as usual but it hung lower on my body and the sleeves/backing hung around my waist. I scramble and put the sleeves/backing on and pull the kimono to cover certain spots.

"Well I'm glad you're not dead."He says

"Well I am too." I say looking down to hide the slight blush on my face.

"I'm going to go, um, talk to Miss Machi..." Sue says awkwardly rushing off to talk to her mother.

"I guess this is the end of your journey to find Naraku." Sesshomaru says.

"I don't think it is, I'm still going to find him and kill him. My injuries are only temporary." I reply.

"You are a truly stubborn human, I'm surprised you aren't dead yet."

"I won't go down as easily as you think, Sesshomaru." I say with a little bit of sassy charm. But I guess my legs couldn't hold up my body and the conversation, my legs gave out and I stumbled forwards. Only to be caught by Sesshomaru. I leaned into him and gave into the moment. I wrapped my arms around him and laid my head on his chest.

"T-thank you for saving my life." I said reluctantly.

"Your welcome." he said as he wrapped his arm around me.

"I'm sorry I left and made you worry, I shouldn't have just left."

"I wasn't worried, Rin begged me to go find-"

"You were worried too, I know you were. Weak human or not, I know that you care about me. Even if it is only a little bit"

I hugged him tighter and I hear his heart beat through his armor and it hit me.

I love him?
