"Oh, hi Miss Okuda-" What's-His-Face says, trying to be polite.

"Don't call me that" I say, wiping my eyes dry.

"Oh, um, okay then what would you like me to call you?"

"Just call me (y/n)"

"Okay, (y/n)... May I ask why you are crying?"

"I-I'm not-" I let out a sigh in defeat seeing as there's no point in trying to cover up the fact that I'm crying. "My mother just gave me some, uh, shocking news..."

"What did she tell you, If you don't mind me asking."

"I don't think that-"

"It's okay if you don't want to tell me, but I am to be your husband, so there's really no harm in telling me."

"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt to tell someone... My-My mother just told me that my best friend... was my s-sister, and from another man at that. All I can think of is who her father is and why he had to tear my mother and father apart like that. Poor Sue doesn't even know..." The tears start cascading down my face once again.

"But you seem rather calm for the news you've just heard... Wait." he says looking very suddenly surprised, "Who did you say she was again?" What's-His-Face or, Toshi says.

"Her name is Sue, Sue Ishikawa. I don't know if I can ever look at her again, even if it isn't her fault."

"Sue Ishikawa? Is it true... Who else could it be, if not her... That means that..." He trails of into thought, "This is great!" He says excitedly, suddenly popping out of his thoughts.

"What do you mean this is great?! My whole life just got flipped upside down, yet again." I say, a little bit offended but still in tears.

"No, you've got it wrong, Sue is the girl that brought the messages to my village, we fell in love but were seperated by the marriage ,and if she's the chief's daughter, then we don't have to get married... I can be with Sue!"

"Wait, that means that I don't have to get married, or stay... Toshi, I'm leaving."

"What? Why? More importantly when?"

"I don't know... I need time to pack but I can't be seen,"

"Just go get your things now and leave through the garden"

"I could, but I would make too much noise packing..."

"I'll cover for you."

"Why? You don't need to get involved in my problems."

"Not to be rude, but if you're gone it's easier for me to convince our parents to let me marry Sue. And once I convince them to go along, they won't go looking for you."

"I get it, good thinking. Maybe you aren't as dim-witted as I thought."

"Wow, how nice of you to say, I'm truly flattered." he says jokingly.

"You're welcome." I say

"Well you should go get your stuff and leave as soon as possible."

"Right"

I ran to my room, trying not to be seen. I put on my old training pants and wrapped what I could salvage of my kimono around my upper-body, it looked pretty badass to be honest. Lastly, I grabbed my swords and ran to the gates. I told the guards to let me through, but they wouldn't. They feared that I wouldn't come back, and that the marriage would be cancelled.

"Please! Open the gates! You are right, I won't come back for the wedding! But I won't marry Toshi Ikeda, reguardless of wether I'm here or at the other end of Japan!" I yell to the guards at the top of the wall.
