I didn't exactly want to strangle the first family member of Keith's that I had come in contact with. But then again, his lovely sister had another thing coming if she thought I'd kiss her ass all day. I'm a grown ass woman and I'm pretty sure Keith isn't fifteen anymore so she should be well aware that he has every right to date whoever he'd like.

Breathe Venus, breathe.

"Yo Kay chill out bruh." Keith roared as he guided me into the front door and to where he was standing previously.

"This is my beautiful girlfriend Venus and you gon act like you got some damn sense and apologize for the childish shit you just did. I know you just graduated but damn, I'd think you'd be a little more mature than this shit."

Kaylan had her arms folded as she transitioned all of her weight onto one leg, poking her hip out. Her eyes were still locked on mine, sending the ultimate death glare my way. I don't know what's wrong with shawty but she obviously don't know who she dealing with at the moment. Keith was staring her down, I guess waiting for her to do as he said. And a few seconds later she huffed.

"My apologies." She slightly nodded her head my way and quickly shifted her gaze to Keith, finishing our stare down. "Everybody is out back."

With that, she was out of our sight. My attention was moved to Keith as he avoided eye contact with me. "I'm really sorry about that baby. She's been that way ever since she met my first girlfriend." He rushed out as his eyes finally met mine and they were well over apologetic.

I shook my head chuckling lightly, "It's cool babe let's just enjoy this." I stood on my tippy toes pecking his lips and sticking my hand out for him to take. He seemed unsure at first, looking for some sort of discomfort in my face but I was honestly fine. I wouldn't let her ruin this day with her childish ways. The entire house had Christmas decor all over and the Christmas tree standing tall in the corner of the high sealing living room basically lit up the whole house. There were wrapped presents and christmas bags scattered everywhere as we made our way outside to the backyard. Keith slid the sliding door open and I immediately heard joyous laughs and giggles from men, women and children. Everyone was conversing amongst themselves, visibly having a good time here. A woman noticed us and shrieked, causing everyone else's eyes to land where hers were as she speed walked her way towards Keith.

"Hey momma's baby." She engulfed him in a huge hug and then stood back with her hands on his shoulders just to look at him. "Bout time you came home and visited your family." She voiced in a sudden stern tone while raising her eyebrow at him.

He chuckled, "Sorry ma. Work just been a lot more demanding lately. I'll try and visit more often though, okay?" She nodded with a small smile then turned her attention toward me.

Keith quickly placed his hand back onto my lower back, "Ma this is my girlfriend Venus, Venus this is my momma." My body tensed a bit as I deep took a deep breath internally.

Just be yourself.

Yeah and calm the fuck down.

"It's really nice to meet you Mrs. Powers." I shook her hand with a warm smile that she returned.
