「Chapter Four」

Of course a rumour had spread the next day about how last night at around 11:00pm, the VP and Vice Captain of the volleyball team had been together at a quaint cafe. It was unknown as to who started the rumour, but they had disclosed all the details that they had witnessed.

The two had walked in together. (l/n) had bought the both of them sandwiches, she had gotten herself a coffee, and her companion some tea. They sat at a booth in the corner, but didn't speak much. In fact, they both seemed uninterested as they were on their phones whenever they weren't eating. They had stayed even after the witness had left, so it is unknown what could have occurred after.

When Sugawara and Sawamura had walked into the class after practice that morning, they were both surprised when Sugawara was bombarded by different students, asking how his date with the VP went. He could barely register what was happening, as Sawamura left him behind to go their seats in the back of the room. Sugawara had a confused smile on his face, and he was unable to answer any questions. No one had given him the time or space to do so.

Not until the VP herself had walked into the class, only for the mob of students to surround her. Their new target allowed Sugawara to safely move to his seat beside Sawamura, and they both watched as the students practically interrogated the VP.

"Can you all back up and shut up for a second? You're not giving me any time to register what's happening!" Her commanding voice silenced the class. She took a deep breath in as she smoothed out her skirt. "I already know who started that rumour. Please let them know that they must not speak of others' affairs without the consent of said people. I really do not appreciate people trying to expose my personal life. Nor do I like noisy students trying to pry into my life when they have no proper reason to do so." She continued to speak in the tone that she used when addressing delinquents. To have the sickly sweet, and incredibly threatening tone used on them sent shivers down the spines of her classmates who backed up, and cleared the way to her desk.

An annoyed smile befell her lips, as she walked towards her desk at the front of the class. She sat down in her seat, crossing her legs, looking up at the nervous parted crowd. The teacher walked in at that moment, and was surprised to see only four people sitting down. (l/n), her seatmate, Sugawara and Sawamura all smiled up at him, but the rest of the class was still frozen.

"Is there a problem?" He asked, looking around.

"No. I don't think so," the VP spoke up immediately, and at the sound of her voice, the rest of the students immediately returned to their seats.

"Ah, I see," the teacher smiled before going through the attendance.

"You went out on a date? What happened to your 'no-relationship' conviction? Was he too sweet for you to resist?" Her seatmate teased. "Do you have a sweet tooth, (l/n)-chan?"

"You're going to have a missing tooth if you don't shut the hell up, Sato-chan" (l/n) replied in the same tone, though her words were much harsher. "I owed him. He helped me out with some Student Council tasks, a few weeks ago and I never had the time to treat him. You know I don't like owing favours."

"As if he would ask you for favours. He's a literal angel. I've never met a nicer person in my life," Sato guffawed, throwing her head back, which drew the attention of the teacher. She waved him off. "Sorry, sensei. I thought of a funny joke, and couldn't help but laugh."

"I'm aware, but it's a habit of mine to return favours as soon as possible, whether they're wanted or not. It's how I was raised." (l/n) rolled her eyes, speaking softer as to not draw more attention towards the both of them. "He may be kind, but there are people in this world who are the exact opposite. And I'm not going to live my life owing favours only to get fucked by them later on."
