Despite the strain that was placed on their relationship, it seemed to be mended as soon as it was safe to drive Sugawara home.

When he walked past the kitchen, he was surprised to see the bouquet of flowers sitting in the previously empty vase. It provided a splash of colour in the otherwise colourless apartment. He didn't address it, no matter how curious he was. However, she must have caught sight of his shocked expression because a small blush formed on her cheeks as she pulled her heeled ankle boots on.

The two third years managed to become closer as the month reached its end. It seemed they had gotten to the point where it seemed like the false relationship was real for the both of them. And no matter how many times the Vice President reminded the Vice Captain that their relationship wasn't real, neither could deny that it felt like it was.

It surprised her at first, how natural her responses came, and how she no longer had to think about how interactions with others may go on in upcoming days. She didn't have to think about how she should act with Sugawara in front of others and simply did what felt best. It was incredibly relaxing, and it put her at ease for the most part. The change allowed her to focus on trying to solve bigger problems than small talk with people concerned over her love life.

Of course, trying to solve just why a gang was trying to kill Sugawara while pretending to date said male was not easy either. Just because it was easier to interact with him didn't make it easier to make sure that no one in a close vicinity was after him. It didn't make it easier to identify an actual threat. Especially when he was being observed so closely.

When out in public with him and his friends? It made it harder to distinguish just who was a harmless stranger and who intended to cause harm. And in the larger gyms? Sure there were many people to call someone out if they had a gun, but what was she supposed to do if that happened? If they were across the gym from her? She wouldn't be able to save him in time. It was stressful, but she tried not to show it.

Every time Sugawara would look her way, the VP would offer a small smile, waving at him no matter what he was doing. He'd wave back, beaming at her. Anyone else on the team who was around him would turn to look over before waving at her as well. She would wave back, her smile growing the slightest bit.

The VP did not want to admit how much the volleyball team had grown on her. As she continued to spend more with Sugawara, they all started to approach her more often. When they saw her in the hallways they no longer simply bowed when they greeted her, but they would wave as well. They would all show her bright, welcoming smiles. They would all cheerily shout their greetings whenever she passed by the gym.

However her mood dropped when the  trashy guy that had flirted with her when she was trying to go to the washroom appeared.

She watched with disdain as he taunted Kageyama and Hinata, and she glared at him. She watched, satisfied when he shivered feeling her imposing gaze on his back. However she kept her glare strong, even when the two looked at her. She was sitting behind the banner that she had helped Shimizu set up, arms crossed.

"Ah, the girl who rejected you." A serene smile took over Iwaizumi's face, making Oikawa pout.

"I mean, yeah. What good is a pretty face against my handsome and doting boyfriend?" She replied, crossing her arms.

"I can be doting and kind!" Oikawa argued, pointing at her.

"Perhaps. But as far as I'm concerned, I like my boyfriend better. I like him a lot, actually, so if you could kindly fuck off that'd be great," she hummed, crossing her legs, as she gave him a beaming smile.
