Dear Skater Boy

Dear Skater Boy,

You were a boy and I was a girl. Can I make it anymore obvious. You were a punk, I did ballet. What more can I say? You wanted me. I'd never tell but secretly I wanted you as well. All of my friends stuck up their nose they had a problem with your baggy clothes. You were a skater boy and I said I need you in my life please don't leave me boy.

We've been together for almost 2 months and you've made my life so much better. You showed me that German never loved me or cared at all. You were there for me when I felt like I was nothing. I never truly expected to fall in love with you.

I met you through your brother (he was adopted by another woman but you guys are still close which is something I love), Alec invited me over to go swimming and invited you over too. But get never told me you were coming over so when you walked in the backyard, your blonde hair, blue eyes, toned muscles, and tattoos took my breath away.

Now here I am, a little over 2 months later writing a letter to you. You aren't just any skater boy, you're my skater boy. I have so much to say but I don't have the words to say them when we are face to face, so I decided to write it down instead.

I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I'm with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me you are bringing out. Before I met you, I was lost. I was always searching for something but I never knew what, now I know I was looking for someone who is kind-hearted, loving, spontaneous, and as adventurous as I am. I found that person when you walked into the gate.

As I sit here writing, all I can think of are all of the fun times we've spent together. All of the car rides, all of the pool days, all of the kisses, all of the long conversations with our toes in the sand. During all of the times that we've been together, a smile has never left my face. My absolute favorite memory of us was when we played beer pong at the beach. That's my favorite day because we couldn't stop smiling or joking the whole time.

I feel as if I'm walking over clouds just thinking about you. I've had so many people tell me that I'm too young to know what love is but when I look at you, I know that it's love. 98.7% of the time, you're my reason for smiling. Whenever I see that I have a message from you, I smile. Whenever you smile at me, I smile. Whenever you kiss me, I smile. Whenever I watch you land a trick, I smile. Whenever you are around me, I smile.

There are a thousand ways to say I love you around the world, but only one way to prove it and that is by actions. You have proved that you love me unconditionally time and again. You were that one person who was by my side when things got rough. I have known ever since that day that you were the one for me. I've never been so certain of anything in my life like I am of us. You have totally changed my outlook in life and I thank you for that. I never thought that someone could love me like you do.

With every day that passes, I swear I couldn't love you more than I do right now, and yet I know I will tomorrow.
