Dear Australian boy,

You came to me last week on the day I was going to get rid of it all-the day I was going to end the pain that everyone keeps causing me-and hugged me. You brought me close to you and just hugged me. I let go of all my hurt for those few seconds before I gained enough strength to push you away. I tried to walk away but you wouldn't let me. You told me you saw the hurt in my eyes and no matter what your friends said that you'll be there for me. You told me your friends threatened to hurt me if you were friends with me. You made me show you my wrists. Your eyes got watery when you saw the scabs. By that point I knew you were telling the truth. We went to the abandoned stairs and sat down on the top step, I cried while you rubbed my back.

You saved my life.

Sincerely,

A girl who's life you saved
