A/N; The music video is beautiful, I don't own the video or the pictures! I'm pretty sure the first scan happens at 12 weeks and that's when you find out how far you are then too but we'll forget about that little fact!

"Ready?" I asked, taking Max's hand and squeezing a little.

The guys had a couple of days off before heading back on tour again, but at least they're staying in the U.K this time. It's good when they go on tour because they're living the dream, but my God, is it nice when they come home.

"Ready as I'll ever be, gorgeous." He kissed my hand and pulled us both through the pure white door. The room was quite large, painted a nice little blue shade, it had posters with information on and a whole wall filled with pictures of her patients, it's so cute.

"Good morning, Lucie and?"

"Max Helyer." He smiled as we shook her hand.

"It's nice to meet you both, as I'm sure you're already aware, my name's Violet Johnson, and I'll be your midwife." She smiled and gestured for us to take a seat opposite her desk as she sat down. "Am I correct in thinking this scan is to see how far you're gone?"

"That's right." Max nodded, with his voice going a little higher near the end. I don't think I've ever seen him so excited before, and that's saying something for Max.

Max and Violet continued to talk while I stared at him, taking in all his little perks. The way his smile looks more natural when he mentions our baby. The way his eyes shine whenever he glances at me. The way he fidgets when he asks a question that could end in a way other than his. The way he adjusts his hat every time he gets too excited and starts to nod too quickly. The way he squeezes my knee ever so gently when he mentions me.

He's perfect.

"Luc?" He squeezed my knee a little more, trying to get my attention.

"Hmm?" I mumbled, still staring at Max. He laughed and pulled me closer so he could kiss my forehead.

"Violet said she's ready." He smiled and nodded towards the bed, while she rolled a fresh sheet of tissue over the surface, ready for me.

I really should have been listening to their conversation.

I made my way over to the bed, taking my boots off in the process and made myself comfortable. Violet looked at my abounded boots and raised her eyebrows while trying not to laugh.

"Don't worry, she doesn't like shoes and furniture touching." Max informed her and knotted our fingers together before I pulled my jumper up a little. She laughed a little before grabbing the conductive gel.

"Ready, Lucie?" She asked right before squirting some on my stomach. She smiled gently as she noticed me wincing a little. Now I know Jade wasn't exaggerating when she said it's cold. She gently moved the transductor around my stomach while looking at the screen, just like we were. "Any guesses before I reveal how far you're gone?" She asked, knowing Max would want to.

"I'm saying around 4 weeks-"

"4?" I cut him off, finally speaking. "Nah, I'm going with around 6."

"Close, you're around 5 weeks." She informed, while wiping the gel off my body and putting the machine back in its place. "We won't be able to get an accurate date until you're 12 weeks. You're next appointment will be on 14th May." She smiled once again before handing us a card with the date written down so we wouldn't forget, and shook our hands. "It's nice meeting you guys, I'll see you soon."

We said our thank you and goodbyes before heading back to Max's car.

"5 weeks, Luc. 5 weeks." Max repeated and twirled me around in the middle of the car park, smirking away. He put me down and connecting our foreheads. "We're going to be parents." He whispered and kissed my nose quickly. I smiled softly and closed my eyes, resting my head on his shoulder while his arms wrapped around my waist. "Let's go to dinner tonight, just us three." I looked up and flashed him a smile while wiping a single runaway tear away from his cheek.
