Sabine sat in the nose gun of the Ghost, looking at a hologram of herself and Ezra a week before he was kidnapped.
The boy looked so happy beside her in the photograph, now he looked angry and dangerous with eyes of fire.
She put a hand across her eyes to stop the tears that were gathering.
Apart from Kanan and Hera, she felt like she was the one missing Ezra the most. He was like the younger brother she never thought she'd have.
He'd helped her in being more expressive and social towards everyone.
Now what she wanted was to hear his laugh. To see his blue eyes.
For him to come home.
But Ezra Bridger was dead.
Izor Night Hunter had been born and there was no way to being the old Padawan back.
The Sith clearly didn't care if he killed anyone on the crew as long as he would complete his missions.
Clutching her arms, Sabine allowed herself to cry quietly.
She heard the door hiss after a few minutes of tears, and looked over.
Hera was standing in the doorway, concern alive in her face as she walked towards the Mandalorin.
"Are you alright?" She asked. "I feel lost without him" Sabine whispered.
"Broken. I don't know who I am without Ezra here. He's brought so much into my life."
"He's done that with all of us" Hera told her putting an arm around her.
"It's strange without him here. Zeb is torn up, even Chopper."
"Chopper's upset too?" Sabine asked, wondering how the grumpy bucket of bolts had feelings.
"Well he's quieter then normal. He usually charges in the cockpit but he's been doing it in room now. Quite close to my bed, I woke up one morning with him holding my fingers once."
Sabine exhaled a chuckle and dried her eyes.
"I'm surprised he misses him."
"I am too" Hera agreed.
The two looked at the picture, lost in thought.
"We can't give up on Ezra. He needs us" the Twe'lik said.
"You believe he's still in Izor?" Sabine asked.
"I know he's in there" Hera replied.
Sabine sighed and nuzzled her head into her surrogate mother's shoulder.

Would Ezra come home?
