Kanan's POV:

I was staring at what was left of my Padawan.
His raven hair flowing in the breeze. Crimson blade lighting up his face.
His orange eyes. Kanan couldn't bear looking at them. The once blue, sparkling pupils had been replaced with a firey colour.
It was so full of hatred and anger.
"Ezra..." I began but couldn't continue.
It was like my voice had died in my throat.
"My name is not Ezra" Izor snarled.
"Yes it is! It always has been!" I told him. Finding my voice again.
"Maybe once. But not anymore. Ezra Bridger is dead. I destroyed him."
"Ezra. Please. Come back to me" I pleaded.
"Begging. Huh. Always knew you were too weak to let go. And you will die for it."
He lunged at me again.
I couldn't fight him!
He was my Apprentice.
My friend.
My family.
I dodged every swing he sent my way.
He had so much power he didn't have before.
He was stronger.
And not in a good way.
Finally, I Force pushed Izor away from me
Unable to take any more.
I ran for the Ghost.
Jumping on to the ramp as it lifted off.
As the ramp closed behind me, I slipped down it and sobbed into my knees.

Ezra was gone.

Izor's POV:

I watched as the ship took off.
I'd felt the Jedi's pain and fear.
Most of it had to do with me.
I could feel it.
Deactivating my lightsaber, I out it on my belt and pressed the transmit button on my com link.
"Master. Master can you hear me? Come on, this is Izor."
"What is it Apprentice?"
"The rebels escaped but I managed to tag their ship before I started fighting the Jedi."
"Excellent work Izor. Meet me on my Star Destroyer. We have something to discuss."
"I'll be right there Master."
I cut the connection and headed for my TIE fighter.
