Ezra turned to the Seventh Sister, eyes a blue blaze, grip tight on his lightsaber.
"I'm going to kill you" he told the Inquisitor.
"You made me turn against my friends, hurt my family, and make Sabine cry. And anyone who makes Sabine cry under my watch, dies."
"Think about what you're doing Bridger. You could turn back to the way you were. I'll give you another chance" the Sith told him.
Ezra's anger went into overdrive and he leapt into the air with the Force aiding his jump.
"I'd never turn back!" He yelled swinging his lightsaber at the Seventh Sister.
"This is who I am! I am a Jedi!" Ezra flung his blade at the woman.
"I am a rebel!"
He back flipped and shot red lasers with his lightsaber at the Sith.
"I am Ezra Bridger!"
"You are a Sith" the Seventh Sister snarled connecting blades with the boy.
"You failed your friends and the rebellion. You murdered your Lasat friend. You almost killed your former Master. Realise you have the Dark side child! Embrace your destiny and accept who you are! You are Izor Night Hunter!"
As the Sith said this, she slashed her lightsaber pass Ezra's blade and flung it upwards. Ezra's yell of agony echoed around the reactor room as he stumbled backwards. Ezra was forced to deactivate his lightsaber to clutch his left arm. Or what remained of it. He looked tentatively over the catwalk to see his limb tumbling into the darkness.
"Well that's something I'll never get out of my head" he muttered to himself.
Ezra looked back at the Seventh Sister who was glaring haughtily at him.
"Give up?" She asked.
"Not on your life" Ezra replied igniting his blade.
He'd have to deal with fighting with one hand for now.
Sabine crept along the corridor of the Star Destroyer on her way to Ezra's cabin. After quickly hacking an information port, she found Ezra's room was quite close. It wasn't long before she saw it. Making a break for the room, Sabine unlocked the door and ran inside. After closing it behind her, Sabine turned round and was a little surprised at what met her gaze. A single bedroll sat in the far corner of the room while a mediation pad was positioned in the middle of the floor. Sabine glanced round and saw a bench next to Ezra's bed which had Sabine's helmet, blasters, com and a couple of explosives resting on it. She grabbed her items and left the room. Running down the hallway, Sabine reached the hanger bay without running into any Stormtroopers. Sabine dived behind a stack of crates as cover and ducked her head. Looking at the time on her com, she bit her lip anxiously. There was ten minutes left.
Where was Ezra?
Ezra clashed blades furiously with the Seventh Sister. For only having one hand, he was doing remarkably well. Then he remembered something from his training sessions;
"I'm going to teach you a new ability. It's called Force Lightning. Your Emperor uses this and I'm going to teach it to you."
Force lightning.
How did Ezra forget he had that ability? He had no idea. He back flipped away from the Sith and put his lightsaber back on his belt. With a grunt of effort, Ezra sent lightning crackling at the Seventh Sister. She instantly blocked it with her lightsaber.
"Nice try. But that won't work on me" she said.
Ezra's gaze narrowed as he intensified the lightnings power. It burned his palm, but he didn't care. All he wanted was to make the Seventh Sister suffer. The lightning was becoming too much for the Sith and after a few seconds of crackling light, the Inquisitor's lightsaber was forced from her hands. Ezra caught it and threw the blade into the dark depths below. The Seventh Sister watched it fall before looking back at Ezra. The boy sent an electric charge at the woman forcing her to fall of the edge. She gripped the side of the catwalk as Ezra looked down on her.
"You have no idea what you've done today Bridger" the Seventh Sister said, gazing up at him.
Ezra raised an eyebrow at her.
"You've accomplished something remarkable. You've finished your training."
Ezra felt his mouth open slightly.
"Well done."
The Inquisitor let go of the catwalk and fell into the darkness below. Ezra watched her disappear before falling to his knees and gripping his arm.
"Ezra? Ezra where are you? We have to go! This ships about to explode in three minutes!" Sabines voice came through Ezra's com.
"What? Oh right. I'm on my way" Ezra said standing and running down the catwalk to the door without the busted control panel.
Ezra sprinted down the hall, cloak billowing behind him as he sped to the docking bay.
Sabine was still behind the crates as she watched an Imperial shuttle land and a squadron of Stormtroopers walk out. The commander exchanged a few words before the troopers went down the hall.
'I need to get them away from that shuttle' Sabine thought.
She instinctively reached for her bombs and threw one up onto the deck above the hanger bay. It detonated and the troopers instantly looked to where the explosion had occured.
"Up there! Go go go!" The commander yelled as he and the Stormtroopers sped down the corrider.
'That was almost too easy' Sabine grinned running towards the ship. She was at the ramp when the door opened and Ezra ran through. Sabine turned to smile at him but her face was covered in horror when she saw his arm.
"What happened to you" she stared.
"Long story, I'll tell you later. Let's go!" Ezra told her.
"Right."
The two teens ran to the controls and fired up the engines. Sabine flew it from the hanger bay and into space.
"Attention shuttle. Come back and land immediately. That's an order You were not permitted to take off" an officer said through the com.
"Blow it out your exhaust port. Literally" Sabine shot back.
A massive, colourful explosion suddenly erupted in the Star Destroyer making Ezra laugh almost manically.
"Beautiful as ever" he grinned at Sabine who returned the expression.
With a exhale, Ezra leant back in his chair with a smile as the blue and white streaks of hyperspace met his gaze. The nightmare was finally over.
Ezra was going home.
