Ezra gripped the edge of the seat as Sabine wrapped what remained of his arm. The stinging almost hurt worse than the electricity torture he'd endured. Sabine noticed the boy's discomfort and gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm sure we can get you a robotic arm" she assured him.
Ezra have her a small smile and sighed.
"What is it?" Sabine asked.
"I still can't believe I killed Zeb, I caused so much pain for everyone" Ezra told her.
"That wasn't your fault Ez, the Empire drugged you. Everything that happened was all on the Empire. You have nothing to be guilty about."
"Yeah but..."
"Say anything about the past and I'm ripping out your other arm" Sabine warned.
Ezra got the hint and nodded with a small grin.
"What are you so happy about?" Sabine inquired.
"It's nice that your joking with me, it brings back memories" he told her.
"Do you remember everything from the past?"
"Yeah. It's all coming back to me. Including my street life" Ezra told her.
The boy shuddered.
"I'm glad I'm going home to my family instead of going home to a nightmare."
Sabine hugged him tightly and didn't let go. She didn't want to ever again. Ezra wrapped his arm round Sabine and rested his chin on her shoulder armour.
The Mandalorin sighed contently as she held Ezra. She felt the calmest she'd been in a long time. Ezra was home so she happy. Ezra couldn't believe he tried to kill his own family. And now here he was, arms around Sabine. The one who's gotten him out of the mess he was stuck in. She'd saved him from a nightmare.
The two rebels stayed like that till the end of the journey through hyperspace.
The Imperial shuttle was spat out to Lothal where Sabine had tracked the Ghost to. Sabine let go of Ezra and sat in the pilots seat. Directing the shuttle to the planet, she could hear Ezra exhale heavily.
"Ezra. Relax okay?" She said over her shoulder.
The ship landed on the grass next to the Ghost and Sabine saw Kanan, Hera and Chopper go down the ramp.   "Ready?" Sabine asked the boy.
He nodded without a word.
"Hey."
Sabine placed a hand on her shoulder.
"It'll be fine."
Ezra exhaled as he stood and he opened the ramp. They walked down it and walked towards Hera and Kanan. Ezra gazed at them for a while before a small, reassuring smile came to his lips.
"Hey" he said.
Hera threw her arms around the boy and hugged him tightly. Ezra nuzzled into her shoulder and breathed out contently.
"I missed you so much" Hera whispered.
"Same here" Ezra muttered.
A few seconds passed before Hera spoke again.
"What happened to your arm?" Hera asked drawing away with a raised eyebrow but kept her hands on Ezra's shoulders.
"Oh boy, Hera's in 'mother mode'" Sabine mumbled to Chopper who'd rolled over to her and had his little robotic arms around her legs.
"Uhhhh, long story" Ezra told her sheepishly.
"And where's the Phantom?" Hera directed this question to Sabine.
The Mandalorin's eyes widened as she realised the ship was still on Bespin.
'Kriff' she thought.
'Hera's gonna bury me alive!'
"Bespin?" Sabine told Hera nervously.
The Twe'lik face palmed with a sigh.
"Hey! I was busy getting Ezra back! It was something easy to forget alright?"
Ezra put a hand over his mouth as he tried to stop himself from laughing at Sabine's forgetfulness.
'She must've been really distracted with rescuing me to forget the Phantom. Hera's gonna kill her' he thought.
Ezra looked over at Kanan who was gazing at him. Hera saw this, removed her hands from his shoulders and moved aside so Ezra could approach his mentor. They stood a few meters away from one another in silence. After a while, Ezra's face cracked into a grin.
"Miss me?" He asked.

Mwhahahahahah!!! Because I'm a bastard, you have to wait for the father/son moment.
