After helping people out of the building we finally made it back to the jet. I slowly walked in and sat down. Everyone was in distraught. No one said anything.

"Katie, what happened to you?" Natasha asked.

"I was too close to the explosion," I responded.

"Your Dad is gonna kill us." I let out a smile laugh.

"He'll get over it."

Soon we finally arrived at the tower. I walked in and Dad looked over at us.

"Hey, how was the." Dad stopped when he reached my face.

"What happened?!" No one said anything, "What happened?!" Then he saw my suit.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"I knew. I knew you would do it. I trusted you not to do it."

"You should've known that I would use the suit and my powers." At this point everyone left to give us privacy.

"Katie. I know. What happened? Are you okay? What happened? Did you get hurt?" He began to ramble and check me for injuries which there were plenty of.

"Dad! I'm fine! I was too close to the explosion. I'm fine, but I need to rest. I should be better by tomorrow."

"Alright. You should get to bed."

"Okay." I went to my room and fell asleep.

THE NEXT DAY

I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I was looking through many papers to try and figure out something about my mother, but I still found nothing. I sighed in frustration.

"Come in!" I yelled as Dad walked in.

"Hey," His expression fell as he saw the papers on my bed realizing what they were," we have to go to a meeting."

"Okay, I'll see you later."

"You're coming too." I looked up at him in shock.

"Really?"

"Of course." I followed him into the main meeting room on the floor below us. Everyone was there. Even Rhodey and Vision were there. I met Wanda's eyes and smiled. She returned the smiled and offered the seat next to her.

"Who is this?" the secretary asked.

"She's my daughter," Dad replied. I stared straight at him with a blank expression.

"She doesn't need to be in here Stark. This is a private meeting. Only Avengers."

"Of course she does. She's an Avenger." I stood there in shock. He said I was an Avenger. I tried to hold in my expression so they wouldn't question it. He looked at me and I smiled. He nodded and I continued to my seat.

"Five years ago, I had a heart attack. I dropped right in the middle of my back-swing. Turned out it was the best round of my life, because after thirteen hours of surgery and a triple bypass, I found something forty years in the Army had never taught me: Perspective. The world owes the Avengers an unpayable dept. You have fought for us, protected us, risked your lives, but while a great many people see you as heroes, there are some who would prefer the word "vigilantes"," Secretary Ross began.

"And what word would you use, Mr. Secretary?" Natasha asked.

"How about "dangerous"? What would you call a group of US-based, enhanced individuals, who routinely ignore sovereign borders, and inflict their will wherever they choose and who, frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind?" He displayed a map on a big screen. It zoomed in on a city.
