Friends With Magcon

One Condition

I am currently packing for Magcon which is in one week! I packed 3 tee shirts, 2 skirts, 2 tank tops, 2 muscle shirts, 3 hoodies, 8 pairs of jean shorts, 3 pairs of athletic shorts, an 2 pairs of spandex. A lot right? We were only going for a week, but, I like to be prepared, okay? Don't judge.

I somehow fit this into my duffel bag along with 2 pairs of Vans and 2 pair of Sanuks. I had to bring another bag for toiletries, makeup, and crap like that... Whatever! I was going to be comfortable, okay?

Like always, I was listening I my music. And again I got a text from my parents.

Mommy: Come down. We need to talk.

Me: K

I hopped down the stairs an plopped on the love seat on the far wall. I then realized my brother, Garrett and his girlfriend, Abbey were sitting on the couch across from me. (Abbey is a year younger than my brother and is one of my best friends. Garrett is 4 years older than me.) I looked from my mom, who was to my right, to my dad, who was to my left, back to my brother. "Is anyone gonna talk or are we just gonna sit here?" I asked breaking the silence.

My mom started "Carmen, you aren't going to Magcon alone with Caroline. You-" I cut her off.

"Yeah, I know her brother and his girlfriend are going too."

My began again "I know, but... Garrett and Abbey are going too." She blurted out.

My jaw dropped. Then, of coarse, I groaned "Whyyyyyyyyy?" I drew out the word to show how against this I am.

My answered like always "Because I said so."

"Great" I mumbled walking back up the stairs.

I grabbed my phone and quickly texted Caroline.

Me: did u know garrett an abbs wer goin with us?

Carol<3 : mayb...

Me: y ddnt u tell me?

Carol<3 : ur mom said she wld

Me: fine. im packed wbu?

Carol<3 : yep:P

Me: ttyl 😘ilysmydekailymtaestcpiitjasi

(Btw that means I Love You So Much You Don't Even Know And I Love You More Than Anyone Else So They Can Put It In Their Juice Boxes And Suck It)

Me and Caroline decided to keep going to Magcon a secret so the next day at school we didn't tell anyone. Our group of friends included Maggie, Reilly, Sadie, Reagan, Ava, Me, Caroline, and Chandlar. And it was HARD to keep a secret from them! But me and Caroline made it without telling anyone! Whoo! Point us!

We are leaving for Magcon tomorrow! I'm so freaking excited!

We have 1 day to settle into the hotel, 2 days of Magcon, then 4 days to do whatever around town.

I was too excited to sleep that night, but I eventually did, thinking about Magcon.
