*Carmen's POV*
We were all talking in the living room, watching tv when Nash, out of the blue, told me to close my eyes. I did, and hearing footsteps, knew that Nash left the room. I was kinda scared, honestly. I know I only waited for like, 1 minute but it felt like forever. I finally heard his footsteps again and he place a small furry mound in my arms.
"Open your eyes!" Nash said.
I opened my eyes to see a husky puppy in my arms. His body was gray, his feet were white, and his eyes matched the color of Nash's eyes exactly. That bright blue. I instantly felt happy tears falling down my cheeks. Nash pulled me into a tight embrace. I clutched the dog in my arms in between Nash and I, not tight enough to hurt him though.
"What's it's name?" I choked out.
"His name is Buck" Nash said, smiling down at me. I smiled at the mention of that name. Buck.
