*Nash's POV*

Carmen and I fell asleep in the waiting room last night. The doctor said that Abbey can come home in a few days. Her memory is recovering quickly but she is still a little fuzzy when it comes to the smaller memories. We show her pictures, give her names and dates and most of the time she can remember. But sometimes she just gives us all that same blank stare. Her parents are still out of town and don't know anything. We probably should tell them but... that would take work and effort... and its... so exhausting. I woke up to the doctor shaking me awake. It freaked me out at first but the I realized where I was.

"Abbey Harris?" he asked me.

"Yeah" I said, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"She is awake now. And the boy with her is too. I figured you would wake her" he said pointing to Carmen.

"Yeah, I'll wake her up" I answered. I started shaking Carmen gently. She replied with a groan. "Come on, Carmen, get up" I coaxed.

"What time is it?" she asked, yawning and stretching.

"Like 8:15 am" I replied.

"Ugh. Too early" she said, rubbing her eyes like a little kid. She was kinda adorable when she wakes up...

"Well, we need to go home and shower, and get clean clothes, an all that good stuff" I said.

"I need to check in with Abbey first" she said, standing up and stretching some more. I swear I love this girl more and more each day. She has a very compassionate heart towards those she loves. And to those she doesn't, she has a fist, a foot, and a dad with a gun... and a boyfriend who will kick anyone's grass for her.
