Naruto POV

Ugh! I can't believe how cruel Iruka Sensei can be. Making a poor six year old boy stand outside the class with two buckets of water filled to the brim. Two minutes and my hands start to hurt, the muscles straining.

I hear a little loud voice from the class and a few moments later see Dog boy exit the classroom. Huh. Why did he get kicked out? Was he caught?

But I remember that he acted normal when Sensei glanced around so there's no chance he was caught.

I see the white pup on his head whining. Are his eyes always closed? What a weird pup.

Did someone sell him out? But no one did that to me so it is unlikely.

I am confused.

Dog boy's head is down and I feel a bit sorry for him. I mean, he threw only two, while I threw tons of paper balls on Iruka Sensei.

He raises his head, sauntering over to me, a grin on his triangle tattoo face. He is punished so why does he look so damn happy?

Then I notice that he isn't holding any buckets. So the dude gets to skip lecture without any heavy weights to hold? So not fair. I pout, the tad bit of sympathy totally vanishes.

Stopping right next to me, he tells, "You know, our Sensei is not out here watching, so keep the buckets down already."

I realize that I am slouching and feel like my arms are gonna fall off like shit dropping from shameless pigeons in the sky. My imagination is so amazing.

But the boy has a point. I carefully place the stupid steel crap on the floor, a little water sloshing over and then sigh with relief, rubbing my arms to relieve the tension and get the blood flowing.

"How come you are out here? There is no way you were caught or sold out by our classmates because they were enjoying our show as much as us," I ask curiously.

He just shrugs and tells, "I confessed."

I let the words sink in. Two words and I was shocked and frozen like a piece of rock.

"You... You did WHAT?!" I exclaim.

"You heard me." He shrugs again.

"But why?" I ask, incredulous.

He doesn't answer and shrugs again. This action is getting on my damn nerves.

"Stop shrugging like a stupid hanger and tell me, damnit!" I screech.

"Man, you are loud. Quit shouting like a banshee, it is hurting our ears. Right, boy?" He looks above, and the boy barks in agreement.

"How come your dog understands what you are telling?" I question, letting his insult slide for now.

"We from the Inuzuka clan each have a dog as their partner, with who we have a special bond." He smiles affectionately at the dog. "And as for your previous question. I just felt it was the right thing to do. After all, I too was involved." Kiba adds.

I don't know what to say. My opinion of him has changed in just a couple minutes. He is not so bad after all. Having an honest and fun friend like him would be great. I mean, he joined in my prank.

"You know, I really enjoyed today. And it was even more fun with you. A person who loves doing pranks as much as me is hard to find." I take a deep breath. "I am sorry for what I said earlier. So, will you be my friend and partner in crime?" I finish and extend my hand, a hopeful glint in my eyes.

He looks from me to my hand and then stays silent for a minute. I get nervous and ready for rejection, when he shakes my hand, a genuine smile on his face.
